Our esteemed airline is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aviation Captain to uphold the highest standards of safety, operational excellence, and customer service. This pivotal role requires a dedicated professional who is committed to leading flight operations with unwavering precision and authority.

Responsibilities:

The Aviation Captain assumes ultimate responsibility for the safety and security of all crew members, passengers, and cargo on board. This encompasses the comprehensive operation and safety of the aircraft from the initial taxi phase before takeoff until its final resting position after landing, including engine shutdown. This role involves:

  • Thoroughly familiarizing themselves with all relevant regulations, documentation, and briefing materials pertinent to the intended flight route, destination, and alternate airfields. The Captain must also be adept at identifying both oxygen escape routes and terrain escape routes.
  • Exercising the authority to issue all commands deemed necessary to ensure the safety of the aircraft and all persons or property carried within.
  • Having the authority to disembark any individual or remove any cargo that, in the Captain’s professional judgement, could pose a potential hazard to the safety of the aircraft or its occupants.
  • Ensuring all crew members adhere to operational checklists meticulously before, during, and after each phase of flight operations, particularly in abnormal and emergency situations.
  • Guaranteeing the correct execution and application of manufacturer-provided procedures and checklists, as approved for use by the airline.
  • In emergency situations requiring immediate action, the Captain, or the pilot to whom the conduct of the flight has been delegated, will take any necessary action that they deem appropriate. In such circumstances, deviation from established rules, procedures, and methods is permissible in the interest of safety.
  • Operating the aircraft within the full scope of all Operational Manuals provided.
  • Taking all reasonable measures to ensure all persons on board comply with lawful commands issued to secure the safety of the aircraft and all that it carries.
  • Operating the aircraft efficiently and in accordance with the company's fuel policy.
  • Ensuring On-time performance for all flights.
  • Prioritizing and maintaining Customer awareness throughout all operations.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7000 hours of total flying time.
  • A minimum of 2500 Pilot-in-Command (PIC) hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit jet aircraft.
  • A minimum of 2000 PIC hours on any Airbus wide-body Fly-By-Wire (FBW) aircraft.
  • A valid type rating on any Airbus FBW aircraft for a minimum of two months upon joining the airline.
  • An unrestricted and current International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL).
  • Operational experience flying any Airbus FBW aircraft within the past 12 months.
  • An unrestricted and current Class 1 medical certificate.
  • Must not have reached the age of 59 years upon joining the airline.
  • Current Type Rating Examiner (TRE) or Type Rating Instructor (TRI) credentials are advantageous.
  • Demonstrable English language fluency (written and verbal) at Level 4 or better.
  • For flight hours accumulated on flights with inflight relief, 75% of the total hours will be counted toward the minimum requirements.
  • *Note: Glass Cockpit refers to aircraft equipped with a Flight Management System (FMS) coupled to an Automatic Pilot Flight Director System (APFDS).

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a comprehensive and competitive compensation and benefits package, including:

  • Starting monthly salary of AED 35,200 for Captains.
  • Flight duty allowance:
    • AED 50 per block hour for 1-6 years of service.
    • AED 80 per block hour for 7-10 years of service.
  • Generous meal allowances during layovers, varying by region:
    • Middle East/GCC/Sub Continent: AED 12 per hour.
    • Asia/Far East: AED 15 per hour.
    • Africa/Australasia: AED 18 per hour.
    • Europe/Americas: AED 23 per hour.
  • Housing allowance of up to AED 170,000 per year, or company-provided housing based on availability.
  • Education allowance: AED 40,000 for primary education and AED 55,000 for secondary education, for up to three children.
