The Role

As a Direct Entry Captain with Emirates, the successful candidate will assume the most senior position in command of the aircraft, responsible for the safe, efficient, and professional operation of flights across Emirates' extensive global network.

Role Requirements

To be considered for the prestigious position of an Emirates Airbus Direct Entry Captain, candidates must meet the following stringent criteria:

• Minimum of 7,000 hours total flying time, meticulously excluding P3, rotary, and single/multi-engine piston aircraft experience.
• For A380 Positions:
  • Must currently be actively flying as an Airbus FBW (Fly-by-Wire) Wide Body Captain.
  • A minimum of 3,000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) on Airbus FBW Wide Body aircraft.
• For A350 Positions:
  • A minimum of 3,000 hours command time on a multi-crew, multi-engine commercial jet aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 50 tonnes.
  • A minimum of 1,500 hours of this command time must be as a Captain on an Airbus FBW Wide Body aircraft.
• Minimum of 150 hours on type within the last 12 months.
• Possession of a valid ICAO ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License) with a corresponding Authority Class 1 Medical Certificate.
• Demonstrated ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 5 or above.
