The Role:

As a Direct Entry Captain, the successful candidate will assume the most senior position in command of the aircraft, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of flights.

Requirements:

To be considered for an Airbus Direct Entry Captain position, applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:

• Minimum of 7000 hours total flying time, excluding P3, rotary, and single/multi-engine piston aircraft.
• For the A380 fleet, applicants must currently be flying as an Airbus Fly-by-Wire (FBW) Wide Body Captain and possess a minimum of 3000 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time on Airbus FBW Wide Body aircraft.
• For the A350 fleet, applicants must have a minimum of 3000 hours command time on a multi-crew, multi-engine commercial jet aircraft with a Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) exceeding 50 tonnes. A minimum of 1500 hours of this command time must be as a Captain on an Airbus FBW Wide Body aircraft.
• A minimum of 150 hours flying time on the applicable aircraft type (A380 or A350 nominated) within the preceding 12 months.
• A valid ICAO Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) with a matching Authority Class 1 Medical Certificate.
• Achieve ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 5 or above.
