Eastern Airlines, LLC is seeking a Flight Attendant to join its team. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate in preflight briefings, produce reports, perform safety checks, and prepare the aircraft.
- Ensure adequate stocking of food, beverages, and other supplies; deliver items appropriately; and collect payment or provide inventory reports for restocking purposes.
- Greet customers, check boarding passes, make announcements, answer passenger inquiries, assist with bag stowage, and provide assistance to those in need.
- Conduct safety demonstrations, instruct passengers on emergency equipment and exit row seating requirements, and operate audio equipment.
- Monitor aisles to ensure passenger compliance with federal regulations before take-off and landing, and conduct regular checks to ensure passenger comfort.
- Prepare passengers and the aircraft for landing in accordance with company procedures and federal regulations.
- Respond to in-flight emergencies by providing necessary direction and assistance to passengers, administering emergency first aid, and completing incident reports.
- Complete and submit all required forms, reports, and paperwork.
- Treat all customers and vendors with courtesy and respect.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Possession of a valid US Passport, with an expiration date at least six months in the future.
- Residence within two hours driving distance of assigned home base.
- Availability for a minimum of twenty (20) days per month.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol checks, a pre-employment DOT drug test, and a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC).
- Must have and maintain a personal cell phone.
- Fluent in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.
- Ability to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Customer service experience required; hospitality or retail experience preferred.
- Ability to travel to Canada.
- Maintenance of valid travel documents without restrictions preventing entry to all international destinations.
- Ability to lift, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds and to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, reach, lift, stretch, and/or bend for extended periods of up to 14 hours or more.
- Ability to work variable duty schedules each month, potentially including extended periods.
- Ability to be away from home base, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Availability to attend and successfully complete Initial Flight Attendant training and Operational Experience.
- Maintenance of a polished, professional, and conservative appearance.
- No visible tattoos or body piercings are permitted while on duty, without exception.
- Ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
