Based in major airports, with preferences for Chicago, Atlanta, New York, Charlotte, Miami, Dallas, and Kansas City, Flight Attendants are integral to upholding the airline's renowned commitment to customer satisfaction and attention to detail.
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing exceptional customer service throughout all flight phases, from pre-boarding to deplaning.
- Conducting thorough pre-flight safety checks and ensuring cabin readiness.
- Managing and serving food and beverages.
- Delivering clear and concise announcements, including safety demonstrations.
- Assisting passengers with special needs, including children, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.
- Enforcing federal aviation regulations and ensuring passenger compliance.
- Responding calmly and effectively to in-flight emergencies, including administering first aid.
- Maintaining a professional and polished appearance, adhering to Eastern Airlines' uniform standards.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Fluency in English (required) and the language of the destination (for international flights).
- Previous experience in customer service, preferably in the hospitality or retail industries.
- A valid US passport with at least six months remaining before expiration.
- The ability to maintain valid travel documents for all international destinations.
- The physical capacity to lift, push, and pull objects up to 55 lbs and occasionally heavier items.
- A flexible schedule with the ability to work variable duty days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, often for periods exceeding 30 days.
- Successful completion of Eastern Airlines' Initial Flight Attendant training and Operational Experience program.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
