How you’ll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
The Scheduling Supervisor is responsible for developing and mentoring schedulers along with supporting the day to day scheduling operation. Flight Attendant Crew Scheduling is seeking individuals who have demonstrated leadership experience and possess a high level of motivation to achieve exceptional results. The successful candidate will lead a diverse team of schedulers to support the operations and flight attendant group. The successful candidate should be able to support a 24/7 operation with a broad scope of responsibility in a complex and constantly changing environment.
+ Responsible for flight attendant staffing on all Delta flights and to maintain accurate records of each Flight Attendant’s schedule
+ Responsible for compliance with the Flight Attendants terms and conditions of employment, Federal Aviation Regulations and In-flight policies and procedures
+ Responsible for daily operation of monitoring staffing of flights using DBMS and OSS
+ Develop and utilize existing reports to ensure economic utilization of Flight Attendants
+ Directly responsible for 8-10 Flight Attendant Scheduler direct reports
+ Initiate programs to increase efficiency of operation and monitor daily staffing – 14 bases
+ Review/revise departmental policies
+ Communicate the business strategy and operational goals
+ Ensure all departmental policies/procedures support workforce diversity/practices
+ Make decisions on the daily operation to offer flight attendant daily ppt and trip drops
+ Communicate job and performance requirements and hold employees accountable
+ Responsible for supervising, mentoring, and coaching flight attendant schedulers
+ Address performance problems and provide training and development
+ Support cornerstones of people management
+ Assist Flight Attendants when sick, injured, or incapacitated
+ Regard Flight Attendants and other departments as “internal customers” and treat them accordingly
+ Provide 24-hour access to senior leadership, managers, and schedulers
+ Respond to Flight Attendant inquiries as soon as possible
+ Monitor daily staffing of scheduling staff to ensure proper utilization
+ Run daily operation and effectively utilize Flight Attendant resources
+ Initiate cost saving programs
+ Support departments outside in-flight services including flight operations and system operations control
+ Attend base visits/meetings with staff
+ Serve as a resource to Flight Attendants and Operational Scheduling staff on Flight Attendant Work Rules and In-flight scheduling policy questions

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ Candidates for this position should have at minimum a bachelor’s degree or two years of relevant work experience
+ A thorough understanding of the flight attendant work rules and the knowledge of In-Flight Scheduling processes
+ Strong interpersonal, team and communication skills
+ Must be proficient in use of standard Microsoft Office applications
+ Must be performing satisfactorily in current position
+ Demonstrates that privacy is a priority when handling personal data

+ Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority
+ Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.
