Job Overview

Cargojet is seeking a qualified First Officer to join its esteemed flight operations team. This role is instrumental in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely operation of its cargo flights. The successful candidate will support the Captain in all aspects of flight management and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting the Captain in comprehensive flight planning, preparation, and execution.
  • Performing take-offs and landings under the Captain's direct authority.
  • Undertaking additional duties as delegated by the Captain.
  • Assuming Captain responsibilities in the event of the Captain's incapacitation.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Annual Compensation: Level 1 First Officer - $80,408.00 CAD.
  • Comprehensive health benefits for the employee and dependents, effective from the date of hire.
  • Company matching contributions towards retirement plans.
  • Cargojet does not require new employees to enter into training bonds.

Required Qualifications

  • A valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) or a Commercial Pilot’s License (CPL) with successfully passed IATRA or SAMRA & SARON exams.
  • Accumulated a minimum of 1,000 hours of total flying time, including at least 250 hours of multi-turbine experience.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada and the ability to travel without restrictions within the Cargojet network. This includes the successful acquisition of necessary crew visas, particularly for travel to the United States.
  • Requirement to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).
  • English Language Proficiency at Level 4 or higher, as per ICAO's language proficiency rating scale.
