The Flight Attendant serves as the primary point of contact for passengers within the aircraft cabin, assuming full charge of their safety and comfort during normal, abnormal, and emergency situations. This role requires providing safe, efficient, effective, and highly professional passenger service in a corporate aviation environment.
This position is classified as Safety Sensitive and requires adherence to a DOT and corporate drug-testing program. To be considered, candidates must reside within a 90-minute drive time of the ConocoPhillips Aviation Hangar in Anchorage.
Key Responsibilities:
The Flight Attendant's responsibilities include promoting and maintaining the company's "zero" incident rate safety culture while ensuring efficient procedures that support exceptional passenger service. Specific duties involve:
- Participating in preflight briefings, performing aircraft cabin inspections, and preparing the cabin for passenger boarding.
- Ensuring all safety equipment on the aircraft is fully functional.
- Delivering comprehensive safety briefings to passengers in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensuring passenger adherence to all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, Company Policies, and other agency guidelines.
- Communicating effectively with diverse personalities to provide a comfortable and secure flight experience.
- Preparing and serving beverages and snacks, including alcoholic beverages.
- Managing the aircraft cabin in a confined space, often requiring extended periods of standing.
- Performing physical duties such as constant use of hands and feet, and regular lifting and carrying of up to 30 lbs.
- Taking charge of passengers and crew members during abnormal situations, emergencies, or medical events inflight.
- Remaining with the aircraft post-flight to assist with securing duties.
- Attending mandatory ongoing training to maintain proficiency and comply with company and FAA requirements.
- Understanding and ensuring strict adherence to aircraft and ground security protocols.
- Performing additional non-flight related duties as assigned by Corporate Aviation.
Qualifications:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Requires a minimum of 5 or more years of professional flight attendant experience within the previous seven years.
- Must possess the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently to complete necessary paperwork and facilitate essential communications.
- Willingness and ability to work varied and often unpredictable schedules, including evenings, holidays, weekends, and unscheduled overtime to meet flight demands.
- Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to safely perform strenuous physical activity such as lifting, bending, carrying objects, and climbing ladders/stairs daily.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An Associate's degree or higher in Hospitality, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent foreign education.
- Demonstrated adaptability to perform a variety of duties, interact effectively with people, and maintain performance under stress.
- A proactive approach to communication, actively listening to new ideas and influencing positive performance outcomes.
- Strong decision-making skills, building effective solutions based on available information and making timely, safe, and ethical choices.
