Corporate Pilot Position at Clyde Companies
Clyde Companies, a family-owned and operated administrative company with a history spanning over 90 years, is seeking a full-time Corporate Pilot to join its team. Headquartered in Orem, Utah, Clyde Companies supports various subsidiary organizations across the construction, building materials, and insurance industries throughout Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, and Arizona.
This position will be based out of the company's hangar at Provo Municipal Airport. The ideal candidate will reside within an hour of the hangar and possess the ability to respond to flight requests on short notice. As a Corporate Pilot, the individual will serve as either Pilot in Command (PIC) or Second in Command (SIC) depending on their qualifications.
This position provides Clyde Companies and its subsidiaries with the flexibility and convenience of air travel, serving employees, customers, and clients primarily within the Intermountain West and Great Plains regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely pilot the company's Bombardier Challenger 300/3500 on scheduled flights.
- Deliver exemplary customer service to all passengers.
- Ensure adherence to federal and local aviation regulations.
- Collaborate with the corporate travel manager and travelers to coordinate scheduling and travel logistics.
- Inform crew members, travelers, and relevant personnel of any itinerary changes before or during travel.
- Assist in maintaining all records (physical and electronic), files, logbook entries, supporting data, and manuals, ensuring their currency, organization, and compliance with Federal Aviation regulations.
- Contribute to the management and maintenance of the company plane, equipment, and hangar.
- Participate in the organization and management of pilot training, licenses, certifications, and related processes.
- Assist in managing aircraft maintenance and inspection schedules.
- Be prepared for overnight and multi-day travel as required.
Required Skills and Training:
- Current Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate with multi-engine land ratings.
- Experience as a captain operating under FAR Part 91, 121, or 135.
- Experience with the Bombardier Challenger 300 or a comparable aircraft.
- Current qualification as a pilot-in-command in a multi-engine aircraft.
- Preferred hours:
- 2,000 hours of total flying time.
- 500 hours of turbojet time.
- 1,000 hours of pilot-in-command time.
Preferred Skills:
- ATP certification.
- Automated cockpit electronic flight instrument system (EFIS) experience.
- Flight management system experience.
- No aircraft accidents or incidents within the preceding five years.
- No past or pending FAA violations within the preceding five years.
- Possession of a valid US passport.
- Current or the ability to obtain a FAA Class I Medical Certificate.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
