Pilot in Command - Citation Latitude
Executive Jet Management (EJM), a Berkshire Hathaway company, is seeking a highly qualified Pilot in Command (PIC) to join its team based at Jacksonville International Airport (KJAX). This role involves operating a Citation Latitude aircraft under Part 91 and Part 135 regulations.
The ideal candidate is an experienced and safety-conscious aviator with a commitment to delivering exceptional service to both customers and the company. The PIC holds ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft. This includes adhering to all company policies, regulatory requirements, and delivering the highest level of customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring Safe Flight Operations:
- Compliance with all company and regulatory requirements for crewing and trip assignments.
- Completion of flight planning, performance, weight, and balance calculations as needed.
- Leading required briefings and mitigating operational risks through effective utilization of the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) briefing methodology.
- Adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), coordinating with relevant company personnel, and serving as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator according to company policy.
- Thorough pre-flight inspections, ensuring the aircraft is mission-capable, and recording any discrepancies according to company SOPs.
- Monitoring and ensuring all aircraft ground servicing items (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) are completed in accordance with SOPs.
- Conducting passenger briefings in accordance with company policy and regulations, delivering exceptional customer service, and catering to any special needs of passengers.
- Effective communication with crew and support personnel using Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) during normal, abnormal, and emergency operations.
- Providing Exceptional Service Experience:
- Delivering high-quality service to owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to enhance the EJM service experience, and resolving any service deviations promptly.
- Collaborating with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure a consistent service experience for owners and passengers, resolving conflicts and challenges professionally.
- Maintaining Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintaining regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complying with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Qualifications:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certification.
- 4-6 years of professional piloting experience.
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation is preferred.
- FAA Type Rating in the Challenger 300/350 platform is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform all essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Time Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3,500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC): 2,000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
