Instructor Pilot - CAE
Overview
CAE, a global leader in modeling, simulation, and training for civil aviation, seeks experienced and passionate pilots to join its elite Instructor Pilot Team. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive flight training in a flight simulator and ground school environment, adhering to regulatory requirements, CAE curriculum, and customer specifications.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME), leading clients through their training programs.
- After a minimum of 1.5 years, qualified instructors may be designated as Training Center Evaluators (TCEs) and customer contract check airmen, based on business needs.
- Provide simulator/flight or classroom instruction on various aircraft types, covering licenses, type ratings, internal training, certifications, and pilot qualifications.
- Conduct thorough and professional pre- and post-flight simulator briefings in accordance with CAE standards.
- Perform essential administrative duties, including completing training records, recommending remedial training when necessary, and maintaining personal instructional qualifications and activities.
- Contribute to the development of curricula and courseware as a subject matter expert.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or college degree preferred; high school diploma or state-issued equivalent required.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in aviation.
- Prior teaching or training experience is preferred.
- Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Authorized to live and work in the United States.
- Proficient in basic computer skills, Microsoft Office, and internet-based programs.
- Must be able to participate in CAE's DOT Anti-Drug & Alcohol testing program.
- Holds an existing instructor qualification or type rating (preferred).
- Holds or has held a professional pilot's license.
- Preferred: FAR Part 135 experience, 3,000 hours of total flight time.
- Preferred: Possess an unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate and at least one unrestricted PIC type rating.
Physical Requirements
- Demonstrated hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
- Ability to sit in a confined space for 4-6 hours at a time with limited breaks.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours) with limited breaks.
- Ability to sit, stoop, climb, twist, and turn.
