About the Role

The organization is seeking an accomplished and safety-oriented Chief Pilot to spearhead its flight operations. The Chief Pilot will be responsible for the comprehensive supervision of flight crew operations, ensuring strict regulatory adherence, overseeing training programs and scheduling, and actively participating in flight duties. Key Responsibilities

  • Leads and supervises all flight crew members, providing training, guidance, and performance oversight.
  • Maintains and enforces Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure safe and efficient flight operations.
  • Ensures all flights are conducted in strict compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, company policies, and aviation safety standards.
  • Participates in flight duties on a regular basis, encompassing both domestic and international operations.
  • Coordinates pilot scheduling, manages duty time limitations, and ensures comprehensive flight readiness.
  • Evaluates and mentors pilots to promote professional growth and uphold regulatory compliance.
  • Assists in managing aviation department expenditures and identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Supports maintenance oversight, including inspections and audits, in close coordination with maintenance personnel and external vendors.
  • Maintains required operational records and ensures timely documentation of training, flight hours, and certifications.
  • Collaborates with leadership to establish departmental goals and advance safety initiatives.
  • Promotes a robust culture of teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional customer service within the flight department.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10,000 total flight hours, including:
    • 5,000 hours in turbine aircraft
    • 5,000 hours as Pilot in Command
  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Possession of a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate and a Commercial Pilot Certificate.
  • Type rating in a Challenger 604 aircraft is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience in both domestic and international flight operations.
  • A minimum of five years of corporate aviation experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Profound understanding of FAA regulations, Safety Management System (SMS) programs, and aviation industry best practices.
  • A professional, discreet, and service-oriented demeanor.
  • Proven ability to adapt to dynamic operational environments and maintain composure under pressure.
  • A valid, unrestricted passport.

  • Frequent travel, potentially up to 75% of the time, including international destinations, is required.
