About the Role

The organization seeks an experienced and safety-focused Chief Pilot to lead its comprehensive flight operations. Key Responsibilities

The Chief Pilot's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Leading and supervising all flight crew members, encompassing comprehensive training, guidance, and performance oversight.
  • Maintaining and rigorously enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant flight operations.
  • Ensuring all flights are conducted in strict compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, company policies, and the highest industry safety standards.
  • Actively participating in flight duties on a regular basis, including both domestic and international operations.
  • Coordinating precise pilot scheduling, managing duty time limitations, and ensuring optimal flight readiness.
  • Evaluating and mentoring pilots to foster continuous professional growth and sustained regulatory compliance.
  • Assisting in the meticulous management of aviation department expenditures and proactively identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Supporting comprehensive maintenance oversight, including coordinating inspections and audits in collaboration with maintenance personnel and external vendors.
  • Maintaining all required operational records and ensuring timely, accurate documentation of training, flight hours, and certifications.
  • Collaborating effectively with organizational leadership to define departmental goals and advance critical safety initiatives.
  • Championing a robust culture of teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional customer service throughout the flight department.

Qualifications

Prospective candidates must possess the following essential qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10,000 total flight hours, which must include:
    • 5,000 hours in turbine aircraft
    • 5,000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC)
  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • A current FAA First Class Medical Certificate and a Commercial Pilot Certificate are required.
  • Type-rated in Challenger 604 aircraft is highly preferred.
  • Extensive and significant experience in both domestic and international flight operations.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of corporate aviation experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and proven mentoring skills.
  • A profound understanding of FAA regulations, Safety Management Systems (SMS) programs, and aviation industry best practices.
  • An exemplary professional, discreet, and service-oriented demeanor.
  • Proven ability to adapt effectively in dynamic situations and maintain composure under pressure.
  • A valid, unrestricted passport.

  • Frequent travel, potentially up to 75%, including significant international destinations.
