Key Responsibilities
- Leads and supervises all flight crew members, providing expert training, strategic guidance, and comprehensive performance oversight.
- Establishes, maintains, and rigorously enforces Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to guarantee safe, efficient, and compliant flight operations.
- Ensures all flights adhere strictly to FAA regulations, company policies, and the highest industry safety standards.
- Actively participates in flight duties on a regular basis, encompassing both domestic and complex international operations.
- Coordinates precise pilot scheduling, manages duty time limitations, and ensures optimal flight readiness.
- Evaluates and mentors pilots, fostering professional growth, continuous improvement, and unwavering regulatory compliance.
- Assists in the prudent management of aviation department expenditures, actively identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities.
- Supports comprehensive maintenance oversight, including meticulous inspections and audits, in close coordination with maintenance personnel and external vendors.
- Maintains meticulous operational records, ensuring the timely and accurate documentation of training, flight hours, and certifications.
- Collaborates strategically with organizational leadership to define departmental goals and spearhead safety initiatives.
- Cultivates and promotes a robust culture of teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional customer service throughout the flight department.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possesses a minimum of 10,000 total flight hours, to include:
- 5,000 hours in turbine aircraft.
- 5,000 hours as Pilot in Command (PIC).
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Holds a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate and a Commercial Pilot Certificate.
- Type-rated in the Challenger 604 is highly desirable.
- Demonstrates extensive experience in both complex domestic and international flight operations.
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressive corporate aviation experience is required.
- Exhibits proven leadership, team management, and mentoring capabilities.
- Possesses a profound understanding of FAA regulations, Safety Management Systems (SMS) programs, and aviation industry best practices.
- Maintains a professional, discreet, and service-oriented demeanor, upholding the highest standards of executive aviation.
- Displays exceptional adaptability in dynamic operational environments and maintains composure under pressure.
- Holds a valid, unrestricted passport for international travel.
