Job Overview: AH64E Instructor Pilot
CAE is seeking a dedicated Rated Crew Member (AH64E Instructor Pilot) to support the Army Advanced Helicopter Flight Training program at Fort Rucker, Alabama. This role serves both US Army and multinational students, ensuring mission readiness through professional flight instruction and systems management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Monitor aircraft systems, diagnose and eliminate technical problems, and ensure maintenance faults are properly documented and corrected.

Conduct comprehensive pre-flight and in-flight briefings, as well as post-flight After Action Reviews.

Perform logbook write-ups and required maintenance support.

Execute flight operations during day, night, VMC, and IMC conditions.
Qualifications and Requirements

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of operational military experience in the AH64E aircraft.

Certification:
Previous designation as an AH64E Instructor Pilot.

Medical:
Must maintain a current FAA third-class Medical Certificate or, for National Guard/Reserve members, an Army 2992 FFD.

Security:
Must be eligible for a DoD Personnel Security Clearance and comply with all data protection and security protocols.

Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical aviation documentation, analyze mathematical figures, and draw valid operational conclusions.

Availability:
Ability to work overtime, including any shift or day of the week as required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

Ability to walk, climb stairs/ladders into simulators or cockpits, stoop, bend, and crawl around training devices.

Must possess the ability to distinguish colors and utilize auditory/olfactory senses to detect environmental or mechanical issues.

Role involves exposure to extreme heat, loud noises, airborne particles, and high-pressure hydraulic mechanical parts.

Requires domestic travel as necessary.
