Job Overview: Part-Time Simulator Flight Instructor I (E145)
CAE is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Simulator Flight Instructor I to support the next generation of aviators within our ATP-CTP E145 program in Dallas. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality ground school and simulator-based instruction, ensuring all training aligns with regulatory standards, customer requirements, and CAE operating procedures. This role provides the opportunity to contribute to a legacy of flight training excellence while maintaining professional instructional proficiency using state-of-the-art simulation technology.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver instructor-led, Part 142 training to CAE customers.

Conduct ATP/CTP ground school and simulator training sessions specifically on the E145 platform.

Facilitate comprehensive pre- and post-flight simulator briefings in accordance with CAE standards.

Provide simulator instruction for licenses, type ratings, and certifications.

Maintain accurate client training records and ensure professional handovers between instructional staff.

Recommend remedial training as required to ensure student mastery.

Document simulator usage and report technical discrepancies per established protocols.

Proactively manage personal instructional qualifications to remain current and compliant.

Serve as a subject matter expert for curriculum and courseware development initiatives.

Complete examiner-related training as assigned by the Head of Training and perform invigilation duties during examinations.
Minimum Qualifications

Unrestricted FAA ATP certificate.

Minimum of 2 years of experience within an FAA Part 121 or 135 program.

Total of 2–5 years of relevant aviation experience.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.

Successful completion of all Airline Transport Pilot License written examinations.

Demonstrated knowledge of applicable aviation regulations.

Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change, and work night shifts as required.

Fluency in English with strong interpersonal, communication, and customer-service skills.

Must meet minimum instructor qualification and experience requirements of the applicable Regulatory Authority.
Preferred Qualifications

Current instructor qualification or rating issued by a Regulatory Authority.

Existing qualification meeting Simulator Instructor designation requirements.

E145 type rating is considered an asset.
Physical Requirements
Candidates must be capable of performing essential functions, including:

Constantly ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.

Occasionally moving into different positions in various environments, including confined spaces.

Maintaining stationary positions (standing or sitting) for prolonged periods.

Occasionally moving about to accomplish tasks, performing repetitive motions with wrists/hands, and lifting or adjusting objects up to 20 pounds.
