Overview

Role and Responsibilities

We are currently looking for expressions of interest to join our experienced military helicopter simulator team at RAF Benson in 2024. The team provide Instruction on the Chinook, Merlin, and Puma platforms.

This exciting opportunity available is to teach on our Merlin Simulator – From land or sea in a diverse range of challenging environments.

You could be instrumental in training both future and current military pilots, on this state-of-the-art aircraft, working for a truly global company with an extensive multinational client base.

The successful candidate will be responsible for training from aircraft type conversion of ab-initio students to instructing and mentoring crews across the full spectrum of the aircraft’s capabilities.

You will be teaching techniques, and tactics within immersive realistic environmental and operational scenarios, by both day and night.

You must be able to work as part of a team, with good written and verbal communication and leadership skills.

You may also be required to, on rare occasions:

Operate the IOS/TCC on an aircraft type for which you are not qualified Undertake CBT/CAI instruction in the Ground school to support. Qualify as an Instrument Rating Examiner in order to conduct Instrument Rating Tests within the simulator environment on the aircraft types on which you’re qualified

Our ideal candidate has:

An ex-military Central Flying School (CFS) accredited B1, A1, or A2 Qualified Helicopter Instructor (QHI) Merlin experience Tactical or Search and Rescue experience Good leadership and teaching skills Excellent Communication skills Capable of Lateral thinking Good IT skills

What else is needed?

Right to work in the UK Ability to obtain, or hold current UK security clearance
