BA Cityflyer is currently seeking a Chief Flight Instructor. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for supervising flight and flight simulation training instructors and ensuring the standardization of all flight and flight simulation instruction. Maintaining the highest standards of safety, under the direction of the Head of Training (HT) and Deputy Head of Training (DHT), is paramount.

The Chief Flight Instructor will maintain the currency of personal licenses and ratings, including medical fitness, to conduct assigned duties, ensuring the validity of any Authority approvals before conducting training. They will advise the HT and DHT on all flying training matters, prepare simulator course syllabi in compliance with UK CAA Air Crew Regulations, and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), recommending revisions to the DHT as needed. Additional responsibilities include preparing Flight Test schedules and liaising with the Head of Operations, Safety & Compliance on matters concerning the Compliance Schedule.

Candidates should possess a proven track record of time management and excellent interpersonal skills. Previous management experience is desirable but not essential. This is an Air Training Organisation (ATO) nominated post-holder position.

Applicants must hold a valid UK CAA ATPL and a TRI/SFI rating. A minimum of 2000 hours PIC on multi-crew aeroplanes and experience as an FSTD instructor are required. At least 500 of these hours should be on flying instructional duties related to the flying courses provided, of which 200 hours may be instrument ground time.
