Babcock International is seeking a skilled and dedicated Flying Grading Instructor to support the next generation of military pilots at either Middle Wallop, Hampshire, or RNAS Yeovilton, Somerset. This full-time, permanent role offers a competitive compensation package and benefits.
The Flying Grading Instructor will play a pivotal role in shaping aspiring Apache, Wildcat, Merlin, or F-35 pilots. He will be directly involved in their flying grading using the Babcock Grob 115E Tutor aircraft.
Responsibilities include conducting one-on-one flying training briefings and flights, completing end-of-course reports, and fulfilling staff continuation training requirements. The instructor will actively foster a culture of military ethos within 6 FTS and the Royal Navy, embracing Student Care Directives. He will maintain the highest standards of safety and quality, ensuring all communication, documentation, and typed materials meet the required standards.
The position operates Monday through Friday, 0800-1700, totaling 40 hours per week.
Essential experience for this role includes previous military flying experience (QFI advantageous) or extensive experience in civilian flying training/examining.
Candidates must hold or have held a CPL with IR (FI preferred) and possess an unrestricted UK CAA Class 1 Medical.
