Cabin Crew Member - Ascend Airways | London Gatwick (LGW)

Ascend Airways is seeking highly motivated and service-oriented Cabin Crew Members to join its dynamic team at London Gatwick Airport. The successful candidates will be pivotal in delivering outstanding customer service and curating memorable flight experiences for passengers.

Reporting directly to the Head of Cabin Services, this role demands considerable flexibility, including the potential for operations away from the home base, particularly during the winter season, which may involve extended periods away from home. As a Cabin Crew Member, the incumbent is central to the passenger journey, prioritizing safety and comfort while delivering world-class service with unwavering professionalism and a warm, welcoming disposition.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensuring the safety and security of all passengers and crew members in strict adherence to aviation regulations and company procedures.
  • Providing exceptional customer service, proactively addressing passenger needs, inquiries, and requests with efficiency and empathy.
  • Conducting comprehensive safety demonstrations and providing assistance to passengers during the boarding and disembarkation processes.
  • Performing in-flight service duties, including the serving of food and beverages and the sale of duty-free products.
  • Handling passenger inquiries and resolving any issues or concerns promptly and professionally, maintaining composure in challenging situations.
  • Acting as a key representative of Ascend Airways, committed to ensuring a positive and unforgettable experience for every passenger onboard.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 12 months of prior service as a Cabin Crew or Senior Cabin Crew Member.
  • Possession of a valid UK CAA Cabin Crew Attestation.
  • Holding a valid UK Cabin Crew Medical Certificate.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and spoken, in English.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is considered advantageous.
  • The ability and confidence to swim a distance of 25 meters unaided.
  • Current knowledge of medical first aid is desirable; updated medical training will be provided by Ascend Airways.
  • An unrestricted legal right to live and work within the United Kingdom.
  • Possession of a valid passport permitting unrestricted international travel.
  • Must be aged 18 years or older at the time of application.
  • Ability to pass satisfactory background and Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) screening checks.
  • A maximum commute time of 90 minutes to London Gatwick Airport (LGW).

This is a full-time position offering a salary of £22,000 per annum, supplemented by flight pay calculated at £5 per block hour.
