A&P Mechanic to Pilot Sponsorship Program
American Flyers presents a unique and exceptional opportunity for certified A&P Mechanics seeking to finance their flight training while simultaneously gaining valuable experience in aircraft maintenance. The Mechanic to Pilot Sponsorship program offers selected candidates employment as an A&P mechanic combined with a comprehensive flight training scholarship program.
Under this program, mechanics receive a monthly salary alongside monthly flight training scholarships. The curriculum covers training towards the Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, and Commercial Pilot licenses. Opportunities for extensions may be available for candidates interested in pursuing Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument (CFII) certificates. Upon successful completion of the program, candidates may have the opportunity for continued full-time employment with American Flyers as either a Flight Instructor or an A&P Mechanic.

Qualifications:
- Must possess current and valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificates.
- Successful completion of the interview process.
- Must hold legal authorization to work in the United States (visa sponsorship is not available).
- Demonstrated fluency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
Maintenance Responsibilities:
- Conducting 50-hour and 100-hour inspections on specified aircraft models, including Cessna 172, Piper 100i, and Piper Seminoles.
- Performing scheduled and unscheduled daily maintenance tasks.
- Addressing Airworthiness Directives as required.
- Troubleshooting powerplant and electrical systems.
- Executing general aircraft maintenance duties.
