Fixed Wing Captain - American Express Aviation
American Express Aviation, a global Part 91 corporate flight department, seeks a highly skilled and experienced Fixed Wing Captain to join its team based in Newburgh, New York at Stewart International Airport. Responsibilities:
- Ensure aircraft airworthiness, proper registration, and complete onboard documentation.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight checks, including weather analysis (NOTAMs), fuel calculations, and weight & balance determination.
- Verify all flight planning requirements are met.
- Confirm crewmembers possess valid licenses, medical certificates, and necessary travel documents (passports, visas).
- Perform comprehensive pre-flight aircraft inspections.
- Deliver passenger safety briefings.
- Collaborate effectively with dispatch, maintenance, crew, and external agencies throughout flight planning and execution.
- Operate aircraft in strict adherence to standard operating procedures, aircraft limitations, and all applicable FAA/ICAO regulations.
- Maintain currency requirements for aircraft type and ensure crewmember currency prior to each flight.
- Ensure compliance with customs, immigration, and cabotage laws.
- Lead the flight crew, utilizing Crew Resource Management principles, to achieve all trip objectives.
- Complete post-flight duties, including reporting any deviations from planned itineraries or overnight locations.
- Maintain accurate flight time and aircraft maintenance records.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience operating Gulfstream 600/650 aircraft is required.
- Significant prior experience as Pilot in Command (PIC) on large turbine aircraft.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in corporate/business aviation.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- FAA-issued Air Transport Pilot certificate with multi-engine rating (Gulfstream VI or VII type rating preferred).
- English proficiency pilot certificate endorsement.
- Current (and maintainable) FAA first-class medical certificate.
- Up-to-date immunization/vaccine record (subject to Amex Medical review).

Compensation:
The annual salary range for this role is $210,000 - $300,000, plus bonus, equity (if applicable), and comprehensive benefits. Final compensation will be determined based on location, experience, and other relevant factors.
