Pilot in Command - Gulfstream 600
Executive Jet Management, a distinguished subsidiary of NetJets and a Berkshire Hathaway company, seeks a highly qualified and experienced Pilot in Command for a Gulfstream 600 aircraft, based in Boca Raton, Florida. This is a unique opportunity to join a three-pilot team, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant, operating under Part 91 regulations.
The Pilot in Command assumes ultimate responsibility for the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft, adhering to all company policies and regulatory requirements while delivering an exceptional service experience. This role primarily supports a family with an established history of aircraft ownership, with travel primarily focused on domestic routes, supplemented by one or two international trips annually. The three-pilot rotation ensures a comfortable work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures the safe operation of all flights, including compliant crewing, trip assignments, and flight planning tasks.
- Leads comprehensive pre-flight briefings utilizing the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks.
- Adheres to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and collaborates effectively with company personnel.
- Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Conducts thorough pre-flight checks, verifying the aircraft's maintenance status and ensuring mission readiness.
- Monitors and manages all aircraft ground servicing requirements, including fueling, oil, and oxygen.
- Delivers passenger briefings according to company policy, providing exceptional customer service and attending to any specific passenger needs.
- Applies Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) principles for clear and timely communication during all operational scenarios.
- Provides quality service to owners and passengers, resolving service deviations effectively.
- Collaborates with crew members and internal partners to ensure a consistent and exceptional service experience.
- Maintains all regulatory and company-required training and recency of experience.
- Complies with the company's Safety Management System (SMS) and reports safety concerns appropriately.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certification.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience.
- Significant experience in corporate/business aviation.
- FAA Type rating in one of the following heavy-cabin Gulfstream products: GV, GVI, or GVII; GVII type preferred.
- Must be able to perform all essential functions of the position.
- Candidates must be local to South Florida or be willing to relocate. This is not a home-based position.
Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total Flight Time: 3500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
