Pilot in Command - Gulfstream 600

EJM is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Pilot in Command (PIC) for a Gulfstream 600 aircraft based in Boca Raton, Florida (KBCT). This position is part of a three-pilot team, supported by a dedicated Maintenance Technician and Cabin Attendant, operating under Part 91 regulations. The PIC is ultimately responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft while delivering exceptional service.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will support a family with a long-standing history of aircraft ownership. The typical flight pattern for this aircraft is primarily domestic, with occasional international trips (one or two per year). While a fixed schedule is not in place, the three-pilot rotation allows for a balanced work-life dynamic. EJM seeks a candidate who prioritizes safety, is service-oriented, works effectively within a team, and demonstrates a meticulous attention to detail. This position requires the candidate to be based in South Florida or be willing to relocate. This is not a home-based position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe Flight Operations:
- Ensures compliance with company and regulatory requirements for crewing and trip assignments.
- Conducts comprehensive flight planning, performance calculations, and weight and balance assessments for each flight.
- Leads crew briefings using the Threats, Plans, and Considerations (TPC) methodology to mitigate operational risks.
- Adheres to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and collaborates effectively with company personnel. Acts as the Grounds Security and In-Flight Security Coordinator as defined by company policy.
- Completes thorough pre-flight checks, including verification of aircraft maintenance status, to ensure mission readiness. Logs all aircraft discrepancies according to company SOPs.
- Monitors and manages all aircraft ground servicing (e.g., fueling, oil, oxygen) in accordance with SOPs.
- Delivers comprehensive passenger briefings, ensuring the highest standards of customer service and accommodating any special passenger needs (e.g., physical disabilities).
- Employs Crew Resource Management (CRM) and Threat and Error Management (TEM) techniques for clear and timely communication with crew and support personnel during normal, abnormal, and emergency situations.
- Exceptional Service Delivery:
- Provides superior service to aircraft owners and passengers, identifying opportunities to elevate the EJM service experience. Proactively investigates and addresses service deviations.
- Collaborates effectively with fellow crew members and EJM internal partners to ensure consistent service quality for owners and passengers. Manages conflicts and challenges constructively.
- Proficiency and Compliance:
- Maintains compliance with all regulatory and company-mandated training and recency requirements.
- Participates fully in the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program and reports any safety or non-compliance concerns through appropriate channels.
Qualifications:
- FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- 8-10 years of relevant experience in aviation.
- Significant prior experience in corporate/business aviation.
- FAA Type rating in one of the following heavy-cabin Gulfstream products: GV, GVI, or GVII (strong preference will be given to GVII-typed individuals).
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
- Minimum Flight Time Requirements:
- Total flight time: 3,500 hours
- Multi-Engine Land (MEL): 1,500 hours
- Pilot in Command: 2,000 hours
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
