What you’ll do

  • You will be based at our Cargo Warehouse facility in London – LHR, full-time
  • Conduct American Airlines mandated initial, recurrent, and operational Cargo training programs
  • Oversee students while in training including performance assessments, performance evaluations, counseling/coaching when necessary
  • Ensure students are given proper certification for course completions
  • Facilitate documented employee feedback to the station manager
  • Work in conjunction with the headquarters team to provide feedback on curriculum/materials to meet corporate objectives
  • Always ensure course content is up to date and accurate
  • Support and participate in regional projects/programs as required
  • Develop positive relationships with Cargo Leadership, Cargo Regional Managers, corporate departments, and station personnel
  • Maintain quality assurance of all training delivered
  • Conduct and participate in airport compliance reviews and audits when required
  • Ensure annual compliance with Dangerous Goods, Health & Safety, and regulatory training
  • Monitor training performance and provide support to achieve compliance
  • Develop, maintain, and/or update core programs and ad hoc instructor led training course materials

All you’ll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Be able to communicate effectively in both spoken and written English
  • Proven Airline experience
  • In-depth knowledge of and proficiency in all aspects of Ground Operations
  • Working knowledge of the PC software applications Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong leadership qualities and above average administrative skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Be proactive, resourceful, and creative in finding solutions to ad-hoc problems
  • Be dedicated, a team player and committed to the job
  • Be an effective listener, self-motivated and reliable
  • Be able to project manage – identifying priorities and ensuring delivery to self-imposed deadlines
  • Be a self-starter, motivated and energetic promoting a positive attitude
  • Have an exemplary attendance and training record, as this is a self-managed position
  • Be able to work under pressure with minimum supervision and in a team
  • Be able and willing to travel extensively both domestic and internationally to facilitate courses and provide mentoring/support
  • Hold a valid passport and comply with health requirements of country to visit (e.g., vaccination requirements)
  • Ability to communicate, clarify, and teach new policies, procedures, and initiatives
  • Ability to work in any International American Airlines location as needed for station start-ups, vendor transitions, vendor turnover etc.
