American Airlines is seeking highly motivated and customer-focused individuals to join its team as Flight Attendants. This role is based at the Training & Conference Center in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX, with additional base locations in Abilene and Austin, TX. Requisition ID: 71741.

They will deliver consistent, high-quality in-flight service, including serving meals and beverages, as well as selling onboard products.

Key responsibilities include managing diverse situations, working effectively both independently and as part of a team, responding to emergencies, and adhering to strict company policies and procedures. The selected candidate must demonstrate the ability to adapt to the demands of the Flight Attendant lifestyle, including working variable shifts and adhering to alternative work schedules.

All candidates must be willing to attend up to 6.5 weeks of unpaid training in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. Upon successful graduation, they must be prepared to relocate immediately to any of American Airlines' base locations, including Boston (BOS), Charlotte (CLT), Washington, D.C. (DCA), Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), New York City (JFK/LGA), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), Chicago (ORD), Philadelphia (PHL), and Phoenix (PHX).

Minimum qualifications include being at least 20 years of age, possessing a high school diploma or GED equivalent, and meeting specific height and weight requirements to ensure safe aircraft operation. Candidates must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test and a TSA-required background check, have a valid U.S. or Foreign Passport, possess the legal right to work in the United States, and be willing to relocate as necessary. Flight Attendants must adhere to uniform standards, including no visible tattoos and limited piercings. They must also be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, extended hours, and be on-call for reserve duty.

Required skills encompass strong English communication, ability to perform all safety-related procedures, a service-oriented mindset, and skills in problem-solving, conflict resolution and teamwork.

Physical demands include the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, operate overhead compartments, and maneuver beverage carts. Flight Attendants will travel extensively, spending consecutive nights away from home, and must be prepared to work in all climates.
