Functional Check Flight Pilot – MH-60R/MH-60S Helicopter
Amentum seeks a highly skilled and experienced Helicopter Aircraft Commander (HAC) to serve as a Functional Check Flight (FCF) Pilot for MH-60R/MH-60S helicopters. The successful candidate will execute rigorous test flights to validate aircraft proficiency following maintenance or modifications.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive functional check flights for MH-60R helicopters, encompassing pre-flight briefings, pre-flight checks, in-flight evaluations, post-flight assessments, and meticulous documentation.
- Collaborate with designated FCF Pilots and maintenance contractors to troubleshoot in-flight discrepancies and verify the efficacy of maintenance actions and repairs through ground and flight checks.
- Provide support to RSNF designated FCF Pilots in all phases of functional check flights.
- Manage and guide the adherence to established MH-60R Flight Operations Programs, ensuring strict compliance with Navy flight manuals, instructions, directives, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and local regulations.
Qualifications:
- Helicopter Aircraft Commander (HAC) designation is mandatory.
- Prior experience as an MH-60R or MH-60S Functional/Maintenance Check Pilot is required; current designation is preferred. Instructor experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to independently perform all assigned duties.
- Minimum flight hour requirements: 550 total flight hours; 50 HAC hours in MH-60R or MH-60S; 100 hours of MH-60R or MH-60S FCF/maintenance test flying.
- Active Secret security clearance is required.
Physical Requirements:
The position requires the ability to pass an aeronautical/flight physical and perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing, standing, stooping, bending, stretching, and crouching.
