Alpine Air | BE300/1900 Captain

Alpine Air is seeking highly skilled and experienced full-time Captains to operate Beechcraft 1900 aircraft from their Fargo, North Dakota base. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional safety standards, superior piloting abilities, proficiency in crew resource management, and a commitment to outstanding customer relations. A strong work ethic, professional interpersonal skills, and a collaborative team-oriented approach are essential.

The Captain will be responsible for operating aircraft in strict accordance with all applicable regulations, corporate policies, and procedures. This includes prioritizing safety and providing excellent customer service at all times. They will maintain professional communication skills for both internal and external complex aircraft communications. The role requires the ability to conduct flights during day and night conditions, and in all types of weather.

Preferred qualifications include a minimum of 1200 total flight hours, with 100 hours of multi-engine flight time specifically in the B1900. General qualifications require an FAA Class II Medical Certificate and compliance with all 135 pilot requirements. The applicant must demonstrate the ability to successfully complete the training program and exhibit proficiency in all job requirements. A valid driver’s license, the ability to read, write, and understand English, and the capacity to lift and move 70 pounds of cargo to shoulder height on a regular basis are required. The individual must also be able to bend and squat repeatedly using safe lifting techniques. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays are essential. A high school diploma is required; a BS/BA degree is preferred. Candidates must pass pre-employment drug test and background check and receive U.S. Postal clearance, be eligible to work in the U.S., and have resided in the U.S. for 4.5 of the past 5 years.

The Captain will frequently be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, and heat. Work will be performed outdoors, irrespective of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This is a full-time position offering a competitive compensation package. First year pilots can typically expect to earn over $82,000 per year, based on compensation programs that include rate per route, per diem, and an annual retention bonus. Some Alpine Air pilots earn substantially more. Benefits include a competitive benefits package and a 401(k) with employer match. The position requires the ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds. The employee must be able to frequently bend, twist, lift, and practice safe lifting methods.
