Position Summary

Alerion Aviation is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated First Officer to join its Gulfstream G550 crew, specializing in Part 91 operations based out of West Palm Beach, FL. The First Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient execution of each flight. This position demands a safety-minded and service-driven professional who will meticulously support the Captain in conducting all Part 91 flights in strict adherence to company policies, procedures, FAA regulations, and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports the Captain in all phases of flight operations, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains a high level of situational awareness and contributes proactively to flight safety.
  • Provides an exceptional, service-oriented experience for all passengers.
  • Conducts pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight duties as required.
  • Ensures all necessary documentation and operational checks are completed accurately and timely.
  • Adheres strictly to Alerion Aviation's operational policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Second-in-Command (SIC) Minimums:

  • Valid Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) License.
  • A minimum of 2000 total flight hours in all aircraft.
  • At least 500 hours Pilot in Command (PIC) time.
  • A minimum of 1500 multi-engine flight hours.
  • At least 100 hours PIC multi-engine time.
  • A minimum of 150 instrument flight hours.
  • International experience is highly preferred.
  • A Gulfstream G550 type rating or a type rating on a comparable aircraft is strongly preferred.

General Pilot Requirements:

  • Possession of a current and valid First Class FAA Medical Certificate.
  • A valid passport with the unrestricted ability to travel internationally.
  • A valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • A clean record demonstrating no accidents, incidents, or FAA violations within the past five years.
  • Residency within a two-hour driving radius of Palm Beach Airport (KPBI).
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language fluently.
  • Ability to successfully pass a DOT pre-employment drug test.
  • Successful completion of a TSA-required fingerprint-based criminal history records check, in compliance with TSA Security Program Standards and 49 CFR 1544.229 and 49 CFR 1544.230.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
