Pilot in Command – King Air – Alerion Aviation
Alerion Aviation, based in Opa-locka, Florida, seeks highly motivated and organized individuals for the position of Pilot in Command (PIC) for Part 91/135 King Air operations. This critical role demands exceptional leadership, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to effectively manage and mentor a team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting safe and efficient charter flights, adhering strictly to company policies, FAA regulations, and providing first-class customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct Part 91/135 charter flights in accordance with company policy and FAA regulations.
- Provide exemplary customer service and care.
- Develop and mentor future company Captains, demonstrating strong leadership and management skills with crew, company personnel, and external stakeholders.
- Maintain a maximum response time of two hours from the airport when on duty.
Schedule:
A 20-day on, 10-day off monthly schedule is offered. The 10-day off period provides flexibility and is subject to agreement with crew members.
Requirements:
- King Air type rating.
- Simulator training in the King Air within the last 24 months.
- ATP certificate.
- Total flight time: 2000 hours.
- PIC time: 1250 hours.
- Multi-engine land time: 500 hours.
- PIC time in type: 250 hours.
- Current first-class medical certificate.
- Valid US passport.
- Clean FAA record (no violations within the last 5 years).
- Argus and Wyvern standards compliance.
- Residence within a two-hour driving radius of Opa-locka Airport (KOPF).
- Ability to travel freely in and out of the US.
- Successful completion of a 10-year criminal background check.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test.
- Part 135 experience (preferred).
