Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

The Captain holds ultimate authority and accountability for the aircraft and the safety of all crew and passengers on board. Key responsibilities include:

Ensuring the safe and efficient conduct of flight operations.
Evaluating aircraft airworthiness, weather conditions, flight regulations, and air traffic control procedures.
Effectively utilizing all available tools and resources to maximize safety during ground and flight operations.
Demonstrating proactive safety ownership in all actions, performance, and decision-making to ensure successful flight outcomes.

Skills and Qualifications:

Candidates must meet or exceed the following requirements:

Hold a valid FAA Airmen Certificate.
Possess a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
Hold a valid FCC Radiotelephone Operator’s Permit.
An Airbus A320 Type Rating is preferred.
Must meet the requirements of FAR 121.436.
A minimum of 4000 hours total flight time is required.
Possess a minimum of 1000 Jet hours as Pilot in Command under a FAR 121 Certificate OR 1500 Jet hours as Pilot in Command under a FAR 135 Certificate.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport.
Ability to travel unrestricted to and from the United States.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

Physical Demands:

The role requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks essential to flight operations. This includes regular talking and hearing; frequent standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. Occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may be necessary. The position requires frequently lifting and moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting and moving up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
