Captain, Fixed-Wing Operations
A premier aviation organization seeks a highly experienced and meticulous Fixed-Wing Captain to command complex flight operations. The successful candidate is responsible for the absolute safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance of all assigned flights, ensuring adherence to the highest operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
The Captain holds ultimate command authority and is accountable for the following essential duties:
- Operates the aircraft safely and proficiently, consistently maintaining compliance with established operational parameters and company policy.
- Exercises superior judgment in determining optimal departure times, routes, and operational contingency plans; authorizes the cancellation or delay of flights based on prevailing weather, mechanical status, or other prohibitive conditions.
- Ensures comprehensive adherence to all federal (FAA), local, and organizational regulations, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) throughout all phases of flight.
- Institutes all necessary procedural or flight plan changes dictated by dynamic en route conditions, guaranteeing that the flight continues safely and within strict company policy and regulatory frameworks.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Candidates must strictly meet the following aeronautical requirements:
- The candidate must possess a current Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate supplemented by the appropriate Aircraft Type Rating.
- Required to obtain and consistently maintain a valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Demonstrates a minimum of 3,500 total hours of flight time in fixed-wing aircraft.
- Must document a minimum of 1,500 hours of flight time logged in multi-engine land aircraft.
