Hawaiian Airlines is seeking dedicated Flight Attendants to ensure guest safety and provide an exceptional Aloha experience. This position is based in Honolulu (HNL), Los Angeles (LAX), or Seattle (SEA), with candidates expected to relocate as operationally required.
About the Role
The primary responsibility of a Flight Attendant at Hawaiian Airlines is to ensure the safety and security of all guests aboard company aircraft. This involves being physically and psychologically capable of executing safety procedures and assisting guests during emergencies. In addition to safety duties, Flight Attendants are integral to delivering a consistent and high level of customer service, including in-flight food and beverage service, to provide guests with an unparalleled Aloha experience. This is a union-represented position.
Key Duties

Attend preflight briefings to review flight details, including weather, routes, and emergency procedures.

Prepare the aircraft cabin for boarding and departure.

Greet guests, assist with seating and luggage, and respond to inquiries.

Demonstrate safety equipment usage and monitor guest compliance with regulations.

Direct and assist guests during emergencies, administer first aid, and report incidents.

Provide in-flight food and beverage service and process payments.

Prepare the cabin for landing and assist with guest deplaning.

Maintain currency with FAA-approved re-certification and airline regulations.

Collaborate effectively with crew members to ensure a pleasant guest experience.

Perform essential emergency duties, including assisting incapacitated passengers, evacuating the aircraft, handling emergency equipment, and operating emergency slides.
Requirements

Minimum age of 21.

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Proficiently speak, read, write, and understand English.

Ability to read, write, and speak business-level Greek.
-
Possession of a valid passport and ability to secure applicable visas for international travel.

Legal right to travel from all countries served by Hawaiian Airlines.

Travel documents must remain valid throughout training and employment.
-
Minimum of 2 years of direct customer experience in the hospitality or airline industry, OR 4 years of customer contact and issue resolution with the general public in retail, education, healthcare, or professional services.

Vertical reach of 82” without shoes.

Ability to lift 25 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height.

Comfortable participating in emergency training in a swimming pool with a life vest and being in water during an inflight emergency.

Ability to secure oneself in a jump seat with a harness and move expeditiously through the cabin aisle.

Ability to serve alcohol.

Willingness to relocate within the state of Hawaii or the continental U.S.

Able to work alternative schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Satisfactorily complete an FAA-approved, unpaid eight (8) week intensive training program provided by Hawaiian Airlines.

Satisfactorily complete annual FAA-approved re-certification.

Ability to learn and maintain current knowledge of emergency procedures per Hawaiian Airlines and FAA regulations.

Strong customer service skills and ability to effectively diffuse and resolve difficult customer situations.

Ability to withstand varying climatic conditions, gravitational loads, and cabin pressurization.

Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 4-17 hours) requiring stooping, twisting, and pulling/pushing cabin equipment.

Must pass a tuberculosis (TB) test.

Must present a professional image, adhering to uniform and grooming standards which may include restrictions on visible body art, piercings, and hair color/style.

Ability to obtain and maintain authorization for unescorted access to aircraft and SIDA areas.

Successfully pass post-offer and/or pre-employment drug testing as required by DOT regulations.
