Hawaiian Airlines is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join their team as Flight Attendants, based in Honolulu (HNL), Los Angeles (LAX), or Seattle (SEA). This role is integral to providing guests with the renowned Hawaiian hospitality and ensuring their safety and comfort throughout their journey.
About the Role
The primary responsibility of a Hawaiian Airlines Flight Attendant is to ensure the safety and well-being of guests aboard company aircraft, being prepared to execute emergency procedures and assist passengers as needed. Flight Attendants also deliver a high standard of customer service, including in-flight food and beverage service, while embodying the Aloha spirit. This is a union-represented position.
Key Duties

Attend preflight briefings to review flight details, including weather, route, emergency procedures, and onboard services.

Prepare the aircraft cabin for boarding and departure.

Greet guests, assist with seating and luggage, and provide attentive service throughout the flight.

Demonstrate the use of safety equipment and ensure guest compliance with safety regulations.

Direct and assist guests during emergency procedures, administer first aid when necessary, and report incidents.

Provide consistent food and beverage service, and handle onboard payments.

Prepare the cabin for landing and assist with guest deplaning.

Maintain current knowledge of emergency procedures and FAA regulations.

Collaborate effectively with crew members to ensure a positive guest experience.

Perform duties during emergency situations, which may include assisting incapacitated individuals, evacuating the aircraft, handling emergency equipment, and removing emergency cabin windows.
Requirements

A minimum of two (2) years of direct customer experience in the hospitality or airline industry, OR four (4) years of customer contact and issue resolution with the general public in industries such as retail, education, healthcare, or professional services.

Proficiency in speaking business-level Italian and reading Latin script.

Vertical reach of 82” without shoes.

Ability to learn and maintain current knowledge of emergency procedures in accordance with Hawaiian Airlines and FAA regulations.

Demonstrated strong customer service skills and ability to effectively de-escalate and resolve difficult customer situations.

Ability to stand for extended periods (up to seventeen hours), involving stooping, twisting, and pulling/pushing cabin equipment.

Ability to lift 25lbs from floor to above shoulder height.

Comfortable participating in emergency training that involves being in a swimming pool with a life vest and in water during an inflight emergency.

Ability to properly secure oneself in a jump seat with a harness and move expeditiously through the cabin aisle.

Ability to serve alcohol.

Ability to relocate within the state of Hawaii or the continental U.S.

Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Ability to successfully pass a tuberculosis (TB) test.

Possession of a valid passport and ability to secure applicable visas for travel to countries served by Hawaiian Airlines.

Legal right to travel from all countries served by Hawaiian Airlines.

Travel documents must remain valid throughout all phases of training and employment.

Ability to work alternative schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

High school diploma, or GED equivalent.

Minimum age of 21.

Authorization to work in the U.S.
Qualifications

College education or degree is preferred.

Successful completion of an FAA-approved, eight (8) week intensive training program provided by Hawaiian Airlines (unpaid).

Satisfactory completion of annual FAA-approved re-certification provided by Hawaiian Airlines.
