The Manager, Inflight Training Administration is responsible for overseeing all administrative functions that support the flight attendant training programs at Alaska Airlines. This pivotal leadership role provides direction and support to teams managing training records, scheduling, and related administrative tasks. Reporting to the Director of Inflight Training Delivery and Administration, the Manager ensures the accurate maintenance of training records, guarantees compliance with flight attendant qualifications, and coordinates training and instructor schedules to meet regulatory agency requirements and company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in inflight training, training standards and compliance, or a related area is required, along with at least 2 years of leadership experience. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of the degree. Required knowledge includes 14CFR Part 121 air carrier operations, approved training programs, inflight operations, appropriate FAA Advisory Circulars, applicable regulatory guidance, and the flight attendant certification processes. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is necessary. The successful candidate must be able to successfully complete Initial New Hire Flight Attendant Training (if not already qualified as an AS Flight Attendant) and maintain certification as a Flight Attendant, as well as hold and maintain AS Inflight Instructor qualification. A minimum age of 21 and authorization to work in the U.S. are mandatory.

Preferred qualifications include a proven ability to lead and deliver projects on time and within budget, influence learner outcomes, leverage business acumen and analytic capability to negotiate win-win solutions, and rapidly understand and organize complexity while bringing others along with change. Strong leadership skills, including the ability to lead with passion, humility, and fierce resolve, and the capacity to think and work beyond divisional boundaries are highly valued. Outstanding communication (verbal, written, presentation) and interpersonal skills are preferred, with a demonstrated ability to create collaborative relationships that drive outcomes in the best interest of the company, colleagues, and key external business partners.

Please note that this position requires obtaining and maintaining an Airport SIDA badge, which involves specific background check requirements.

Salary Range:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $92,650 to $139,000 per year. Compensation is determined based on various factors, including location, relevant experience/level, and skillset, while balancing internal equity. Alaska Airlines is committed to fair and unbiased compensation along with competitive benefits. Please note that hiring is typically not done at the top of the stated range.
