Air North Flight Attendant - Whitehorse, Yukon

Air North is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Flight Attendant to join its dynamic team in Whitehorse, Yukon. This is a seasonal full-time position with the potential to transition into a permanent role after the summer season. Training is scheduled to begin on April 8th, 2025.

As a Flight Attendant, the candidate's primary responsibility is the safety and well-being of all passengers and crew members. The candidate will ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and compliance with all regulatory requirements established during training. Responsibilities include the proficient operation of emergency equipment, such as oxygen systems, aircraft doors, fire extinguishers, galley equipment, communication equipment, and lighting systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and maintain the utmost professionalism while managing potentially uncomfortable situations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Performing required duties within an aircraft environment
Delivering safety briefings to passengers
Responding to passenger inquiries
Maintaining a positive and customer-focused approach in all interactions
Guiding passengers during emergency situations, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times

Qualifications:

Grade 12 High School Diploma or equivalent
Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident
Minimum of 19 years of age
Ability to pass a reach test of 210 cm from flat foot
Possession of a valid Passport with the ability to fly into the United States
Minimum of two years of experience in customer service
Strong sense of accountability, honesty, and responsibility
Enthusiasm for contributing to Air North's mission
Legally entitled to work in Canada

Conditions of Employment:

Completion of a four-week Air North training program
Willingness to relocate to Whitehorse, Yukon (at own expense)
Availability for shifts scheduled seven days a week, including weekends, evenings, early mornings, and holidays, with a flexible schedule
