Air Arabia - Cabin Crew

Air Arabia is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join its Cabin Crew team. As a Cabin Crew member, the successful candidate will serve as a pivotal ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and upholding a positive corporate image. This role demands exceptional customer service, unwavering commitment to passenger safety and comfort throughout every flight, and a readiness to operate in full compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

The Cabin Crew member is entrusted with a diverse range of duties, ensuring a seamless and secure travel experience for all passengers. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Professional Conduct & Operational Readiness

  • Ensuring timely attendance, maintaining impeccable grooming standards, and verifying personal fitness and legal readiness for all assigned flights.
  • Actively participating in pre-flight briefings to assimilate flight details, understand role distributions, review targets, conduct security checks, and prepare for boarding procedures.

Safety & Security Management

  • Instructing passengers on all essential safety procedures, meticulously ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight.
  • Proactively identifying potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement immediate remedial actions in strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Administering first aid promptly and effectively to passengers requiring medical attention.
  • Reporting any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain without delay.

Exceptional Customer Service

  • Extending a warm welcome to passengers and providing comprehensive assistance with boarding formalities, including accurate data entry into the aircraft log book as per Air Arabia, GCAA, and CAA regulations.
  • Consistently delivering outstanding customer service by addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs with professionalism and empathy.
  • Identifying and offering support to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, in line with established policies and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual.
  • Actively contributing to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program through the efficient promotion of meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets.
  • Ensuring the proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments processed for individual sales and donations.

Cabin Operations & Reporting

  • Conducting thorough pre-flight checks to confirm sufficient supplies, functional emergency equipment, adequate catering, and other specified equipment, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
  • Assisting in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the aircraft cabin at transit stations, and verifying that re-catering and duty-free products are adequately stocked before departure.
  • Ensuring a smooth, orderly, and complete handover or takeover of the cabin to or from catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
  • Completing post-flight briefings and assessment reports as per adopted policies, including providing objective evaluations of Cabin Supervisors, reporting flight discrepancies, and sealing duty-free containers.
  • Reporting on passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and undertaking the duties of Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain.
  • Maintaining a high level of professional and safety knowledge through recurrent trainings, emergency procedure workshops, and by ensuring all licenses remain current.
  • Contributing to the overall team effort by achieving allocated sales targets and fulfilling related objectives.

Candidate Requirements

Air Arabia is looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications, experience, and personal attributes:

Minimum Eligibility

  • Age: Between 20 to 26 years for candidates without prior Cabin Crew experience; up to 33 years for experienced Cabin Crew.
  • Height: Minimum 160 cm for female candidates and 168 cm for male candidates.
  • Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
  • Appearance: Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
  • Health: Medically and physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties effectively.
  • Swimming: Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered advantageous.
  • Training: Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
  • Health: Must be fit to fly, possessing good general health without serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
  • IT Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory; fluency in Arabic is preferred.

Experience & Attributes

  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation or Hospitality industries is considered a significant asset.
  • Possession of an active cabin crew license is an advantage.
  • Capable of working flexible shift patterns and extended working hours.
  • Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and demanding schedules.
  • Proven ability to contribute effectively and achieve targets in line with company policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
