Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew / Flight Attendant serves as a vital ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and upholding a positive corporate image at all times. This role is instrumental in enhancing the overall passenger experience by delivering exceptional customer service while rigorously ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout every flight phase. Candidates must consistently maintain peak physical fitness and readiness to operate, ensuring productivity aligns with established company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Professional Conduct
- Ensures timely attendance, impeccable grooming, fitness, and legal readiness for all assigned flights.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to assimilate flight details, role assignments, security checks, and boarding procedures.
Safety & Security Management
- Provides clear and comprehensive safety instructions to passengers, guaranteeing their safety and comfort at all times.
- Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions in strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers prompt and appropriate first aid to passengers where necessary.
- Reports all irregularities and malfunctions promptly to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain as appropriate.
Exemplary Customer Service
- Warmly welcomes passengers and assists with their boarding formalities, entering necessary data into the aircraft log book as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA adopted procedures.
- Delivers consistent, high-quality customer service by attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and supports passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following guidelines outlined in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Actively contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the “Charity Cloud” program through efficient promotion of on-board meals, products, and charity services, striving to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments received against individual sales and donations managed by the Cabin Crew member.
Operational Checks & Reporting
- Carries out thorough pre-flight checks to verify the sufficiency of supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other specified equipment prior to take-off, providing reports for any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is meticulously cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are stocked before flying.
- Executes orderly and complete handover/takeover procedures of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Participates in post-flight briefings and completes assessment reports as per adopted policies and procedures, including objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any flight problems or discrepancies, and ensuring the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for the conduct of passengers; carries out the duties of Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains necessary professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, and educational workshops, and by ensuring current license validity.
- Contributes to overall team effort by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Candidate Profile
Age & Physical Standards
- Age: Between 20 to 26 years for candidates without previous Cabin Crew experience; up to 33 years for experienced Cabin Crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male).
- Weight: To be in proportion to age and height.
- Appearance: Clear skin with no marks or tattoos that would be visible whilst wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medical Fitness: Medically and physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties.
- Swimming Ability: Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Academic & Language Qualifications
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable for this role; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is a distinct advantage.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Demonstrated good general health, with no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Language: Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
- Fluency in Arabic is highly preferred.
Experience & Essential Skills
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for this entry-level aviation role.
- Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the airline, aviation, or hospitality industries shall be treated as an added value.
- Possession of an active Cabin Crew license is an advantage.
- Capable of working in flexible shift patterns and for extended working hours.
