Cabin Crew / Flight Attendant
Overview
As a vital representative of the airline, the Cabin Crew acts as an ambassador, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image. This is achieved by consistently enhancing the overall customer experience throughout the flight journey. The role requires providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers from boarding through disembarkation. The Cabin Crew member must maintain operational readiness and fitness, performing duties efficiently in alignment with company policies, procedures, and performance measures.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct:
- Ensures timely arrival, adherence to grooming standards, physical fitness, and legal compliance for assigned flights.
- Attends pre-flight briefings to stay informed on flight details, role distribution, sales targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
Safety Measures:
- Instructs passengers on necessary safety procedures to ensure their well-being and comfort at all times.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers as needed.
- Promptly reports any irregularities or equipment malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain as appropriate.
Customer Service:
- Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding processes.
- Records necessary flight data in the aircraft log book in compliance with airline and regulatory authority procedures.
- Delivers consistently excellent customer service, addressing passenger pre-bookings, requests, and individual needs.
- Identifies and provides assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following guidelines detailed in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
- Actively contributes to maximizing on-board revenue through efficient promotion of meals, products, and the "Charity Cloud" program, aiming to achieve individual and team sales objectives.
- Ensures the proper and secure handling of cash and credit card transactions for sales and donations.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conducts comprehensive pre-flight checks to verify sufficient stock of supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other specified items before departure. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned during transit stops and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are replenished before the next flight segment.
- Manages the orderly handover and takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel.
- Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports as per established policies. This includes providing objective feedback on the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight issues or discrepancies, and securing duty-free containers.
- Reports on passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor. May assume the duties of Cabin Supervisor when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains required professional and safety knowledge through recurrent training, emergency procedures courses, educational workshops, and by ensuring license validity.
- Contributes to team success by achieving assigned sales targets and overall objectives.
Important Requirements
- Age: Between 20 to 26 years for candidates without prior Cabin Crew experience. Up to 33 years for experienced Cabin Crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male).
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
- Skin: Clear skin without visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medical Fitness: Medically and physically capable of performing all Cabin Crew duties.
- Swimming Ability: Must be able to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications
- Education: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required. A Diploma in Travel/Tourism is advantageous.
- Certifications: Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is considered an added value.
- Health: Must be fit to fly with good general health and no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
- Language: Fluent written and spoken English is essential. Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
Work Experience
- Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation or Hospitality Industries is beneficial.
- Holding an active Cabin Crew license is an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible shift patterns and extended hours is required.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent schedule changes and busy operational demands.
- Ability to contribute effectively and achieve targets aligned with company policies, procedures, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
