Cabin Crew / Flight Attendant Specialist
Job Overview and Purpose
The Cabin Crew Specialist serves as the airline’s primary brand ambassador, crucial for fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image. This position is responsible for delivering superior customer service while rigorously ensuring the safety, security, and comfort of all passengers throughout the entire flight cycle. The successful candidate must maintain exceptional professional conduct and physical fitness, ready to operate efficiently in line with established company policies and productivity metrics.
Key Result Responsibilities
Operational Conduct and Readiness
- Ensures timely attendance, impeccable grooming standards, physical fitness, and compliance with all legal requirements necessary for flight operation.
- Participates actively in pre-flight briefings to assimilate critical flight details, clarify roles, review security protocols, and confirm boarding procedures.
In-Flight Safety and Security Measures
- Instructs passengers comprehensively on all safety procedures, maintaining vigilance to ensure passenger well-being and security at all times.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks promptly and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement necessary remedial action in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers as required.
- Reports any irregularities or technical malfunctions immediately to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain, as appropriate.
Superior Customer Service and Revenue Generation
- Welcomes passengers, facilitates boarding formalities, and accurately enters necessary data into the aircraft log book in adherence to adopted procedures.
- Delivers consistent, exceptional customer service by attentively addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and passenger needs.
- Identifies and provides professional assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, complying with corresponding policies detailed in the Operations Manual.
- Actively contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the “Charity Cloud” program by effectively promoting meals, retail products, and charitable services, thereby achieving assigned individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures the secure and accurate handling of all cash and credit card payments received from sales transactions and donations.
Crosschecking, Reporting, and Compliance
- Performs comprehensive pre-flight checks to verify the sufficiency of supplies, emergency equipment, catering inventory, and other specified equipment; promptly reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
- Assists in verifying that the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are stocked prior to subsequent flights.
- Manages the orderly and complete handover and takeover of the cabin environment to or from catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel.
- Executes post-flight briefings and assessment reports as per adopted policies, including providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight discrepancies, and ensuring the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for the conduct of passengers and is prepared to fulfill the duties of ‘Cabin Supervisor’ when officially designated by the Captain.
- Maintains professional competence and compliance by consistently attending recurrent training, emergency procedures workshops, and educational sessions, ensuring the continued currency of required licenses.
- Contributes to overall team success by achieving allocated sales objectives and related performance targets.
Candidate Qualifications and Requirements
Academic, Training, and Language Prerequisites
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required; a diploma in Travel or Tourism is considered advantageous.
- Prior training certifications in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures are an added value.
- Must be Medically Fit to Fly, possessing good general health without serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory; fluency in Arabic is preferred.
Work Experience and Professional Attributes
- Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply for this role.
- Previous experience as a Cabin Crew member or in a customer service capacity within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is considered a significant advantage.
- Possession of an active Cabin Crew license is beneficial.
- The candidate must be capable of working flexible shift patterns and enduring extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability in managing frequent schedule changes and busy operational requirements.
- Proven ability to successfully contribute to team efforts and deliver results against established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Important Physical and Age Requirements
- Age: Between 20 to 26 years for candidates without previous Cabin Crew experience; up to 33 years for Experienced Cabin Crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male).
- Weight: Must be proportionate to height and age.
- Appearance: Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the standard cabin crew uniform.
- Fitness: Medically and physically fit to execute all required Cabin Crew duties.
- Water Competency: Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device is essential.
