Cabin Crew - Air Arabia
Job Purpose:
The Cabin Crew member serves as Air Arabia's ambassador, striving to cultivate customer loyalty and promote a positive corporate image. They achieve this by enhancing the overall customer experience throughout the entire flight cycle, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers. The Cabin Crew member must maintain a high level of readiness and fitness to ensure productivity aligns with set measures and company policies and procedures.
Key Result Responsibilities:
Conduct:
- Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legal compliance for assigned flights.
- Attends pre-flight briefings to acknowledge flight details, assigned roles, targets, security checks, boarding procedures, and other pertinent information.
Safety Measures:
- Instructs passengers on safety procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the flight.
- Identifies potential safety and security risks and partners with the Cabin Supervisor to take appropriate remedial action in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers as needed.
- Informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain promptly of any irregularities or malfunctions.
Customer Service:
- Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, entering necessary data into the aircraft log book according to Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Provides consistent, excellent customer service by addressing pre-bookings, requests, and individual passenger needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to relevant policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and other instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by efficiently promoting onboard meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team targets.
- Ensures proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments for individual sales and donations.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conducts pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified equipment prior to takeoff; reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before departing.
- Ensures an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Carries out post-flight briefing and assessment reports according to adopted policies and procedures; provides an objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reports any problems or discrepancies during the flight, and closes and seals duty-free containers.
- Provides an account to the Cabin Supervisor regarding passenger conduct; assumes the duties of "Cabin Supervisor" when designated as such by the Captain.
- Maintains necessary professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, educational workshops, and by ensuring current licensure.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: Between 20 and 26 years for candidates without previous experience as a Cabin Crew; up to 33 years for Experienced Cabin Crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male).
- Weight: To be in proportion to age and height.
- Appearance: Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Physical Fitness: Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties.
- Swimming Ability: Able to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages):
- Education: Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is a plus.
- Training: Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Medical Fitness: Fit to fly with good general health, no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Languages: Fluent in written and spoken English; fluency in Arabic is preferred.
Work Experience:
- Previous Experience: Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; prior experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role in the Airlines/Aviation/ or hospitality industries is an added value.
- License: An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Flexibility: Capable of working in shift patterns and for extended hours.
- Adaptability: Shows high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Performance: Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
