About the Role
Abu Dhabi Aviation is seeking a highly dedicated and professional Cabin Crew member to join its distinguished team. This pivotal role is responsible for delivering unparalleled customer service and ensuring the highest standards of safety and security aboard all fixed-wing aircraft. The Cabin Crew member significantly contributes to maintaining consistent service excellence and enhancing the overall passenger experience.
Responsibilities
- Participates in pre-flight briefings concerning flight details, emergency procedures, crew coordination, flight duration, food and beverage services, and passenger numbers.
- Verifies the presence and adequacy of food, beverages, emergency equipment, and other essential supplies aboard the aircraft.
- Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, adhering strictly to grooming standards.
- Ensures the serviceability and impeccable cleanliness of the aircraft cabin, galley, and lavatories.
- Conducts comprehensive pre-flight safety and security checks to confirm all safety equipment is fully operational.
- Greets passengers during embarkation and guides them to their assigned seats.
- Provides assistance to passengers during both boarding and disembarking procedures.
- Assists passengers with the proper stowage of carry-on luggage in overhead bins or under seats.
- Performs pre-flight safety announcements and demonstrates essential safety and emergency procedures.
- Carries out compliance checks to ensure passengers adhere to safety regulations prior to take-off and landing.
- Delivers exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries, requests, and concerns professionally and courteously.
- Serves meals, beverages, and snacks in strict accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Offers special assistance to unaccompanied children, elderly passengers, and individuals with special needs.
- Collaborates effectively with fellow cabin crew members, pilots, and ground staff, ensuring clear communication of important information to colleagues and passengers throughout the flight.
- Remains prepared to expertly handle various emergency situations, including medical emergencies, turbulence, onboard fires, decompression, and other critical incidents.
- Directs and assists passengers in the event of an emergency evacuation following an emergency landing or as initiated by the aircraft commander.
- Performs in-flight announcements during various phases of flight.
- Conducts cabin aisle walks to ensure continuous passenger safety and comfort.
- Reassures passengers during challenging situations such as turbulence, smoke, or rapid decompression.
- Administers first aid to passengers and crew members in distress as required.
- Periodically inspects the aircraft cabin and lavatory during flight to ensure ongoing serviceability.
- Operates audio and video entertainment systems for passenger comfort.
- Collects customer feedback, communicates relevant information to the Cabin Crew Manager, and provides actionable suggestions as applicable.
- Prepares passengers and the aircraft for landing in full compliance with applicable procedures.
- Facilitates efficient passenger disembarkation.
- Performs post-flight safety and security checks as required.
- Ensures the cleanliness and tidiness of the cabin before, during, and after each flight.
- Reports any defects, equipment malfunctions, or inoperative systems to the Captain or Senior Cabin Crew Member (SCCM).
- Maintains and restocks supplies of food, beverages, and amenities, including the setup and maintenance of entertainment systems.
- Records safety-related occurrences within the Safety Management System (SMS).
- Abides by all Abu Dhabi Aviation adopted policies and procedures, security and safety regulations, as well as local and applicable international regulations.
- Complies fully with Company Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Manuals, including all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- A minimum of one (1) year of demonstrable work experience as a Cabin Crew member.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
- Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age at the time of application.
- Minimum height requirement: 160 cm for female candidates and 165 cm for male candidates.
- Weight must be in proportion to height.
- Medically fit to successfully meet all aviation regulatory requirements.
- No visible tattoos when in Abu Dhabi Aviation uniform.
- Demonstrated willingness to relocate as required.
- A collaborative individual with a professional and engaging personality.
- Previous experience with Dash-8 Q300 / Q400 aircraft types is highly desirable.
Required Skills
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven capabilities in customer service, problem-solving, and efficient performance under pressure.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in the Arabic language is considered a significant advantage.
