Job Purpose
As an ambassador for Air Arabia, the Cabin Crew member is instrumental in fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image at all times. This is achieved by continuously enhancing the overall customer experience. The role demands the provision of excellent customer service to all passengers while meticulously ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. Cabin Crew members are expected to be fully prepared and medically fit for duty, ensuring productivity aligns with established company measures, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains impeccable personal conduct, ensuring timely attendance, professional grooming, physical fitness, and legal readiness for all assigned flights.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to assimilate flight details, understand role distribution, targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
- Provides clear and comprehensive instructions to passengers on all safety procedures, prioritizing their safety and comfort throughout the flight.
- Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement remedial actions in strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers first aid to passengers as required, demonstrating calm and effective response in emergencies.
- Promptly reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain as appropriate.
- Extends a warm welcome to passengers, assists with boarding formalities, and accurately records necessary data in the aircraft log book in accordance with Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Delivers consistently excellent customer service, diligently attending to passengers' pre-bookings, individual requests, and specific needs.
- Identifies and provides sensitive assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following established policies and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Contributes significantly to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting and selling on-board meals, products, and charity services to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures the proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments received for individual sales and donations.
- Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to verify sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other specified equipment prior to departure, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is meticulously cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are stocked before subsequent flights.
- Manages the orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Carries out post-flight briefings and prepares assessment reports as per adopted policies and procedures, including objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any flight problems or discrepancies, and ensuring proper closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and is prepared to assume the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains up-to-date professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, and educational workshops, ensuring current license validity.
- Contributes effectively to team objectives by accomplishing assigned results and achieving allocated sales targets.
Essential Requirements
- Age: Between 20 and 33 years.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm for females, 170 cm for males.
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
- Appearance: Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medical Fitness: Medically and physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties.
- Swimming Ability: Capable of swimming with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered advantageous.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is highly valued.
- Must be fit to fly, possessing good general health with no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries will be considered a significant asset.
- An active Cabin Crew license is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a shift pattern and accommodate extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent operational changes and busy schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute to team efforts and successfully deliver against established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
