Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member serves as a direct ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and upholding a positive corporate image. This role is paramount in delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout every stage of the flight. The successful candidate will maintain peak physical readiness and operational fitness, aligning all activities with company policies, procedures, and performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Readiness & Briefing: Ensures impeccable personal presentation, timely attendance, and full fitness for duty, adhering to all legal and company standards. Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to assimilate flight details, role assignments, safety protocols, and operational targets.
- Safety & Emergency Management: Delivers clear safety instructions to passengers, guaranteeing their comfort and security throughout the flight. Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Administers essential first aid when required and promptly reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain.
- Exceptional Customer Service: Extends a warm welcome and provides comprehensive assistance during passenger boarding. Accurately records necessary flight data in the aircraft log book, complying with Air Arabia, GCAA, and CAA regulations. Consistently delivers outstanding customer service, addressing pre-bookings, individual requests, and specific passenger needs. Provides sensitive support to passengers experiencing difficulties or stress, following established operational manual guidelines.
- Revenue & Program Contribution: Actively promotes on-board meals, products, and charitable services, such as the "Charity Cloud" program, to maximize on-board revenue and achieve individual and team sales targets. Ensures the secure and accurate handling of all cash and credit card transactions for sales and donations.
- Pre and Post-Flight Checks & Reporting: Conducts thorough pre-flight checks of essential supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other specified items, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain. Assists in maintaining cabin cleanliness at transit stations and verifies adequate re-catering and duty-free provisions before departure. Manages the systematic handover and takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance personnel. Participates in post-flight briefings, providing objective evaluations, reporting discrepancies, and overseeing the proper closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Professional Development & Teamwork: Maintains current professional and safety knowledge through recurrent training, emergency procedures courses, and educational workshops, ensuring license validity. Contributes actively to team success by meeting allocated sales targets and fulfilling role-related objectives. May assume Cabin Supervisor duties when designated by the Captain.
Important Requirements
- Age: Candidates must be between 20 and 33 years old.
- Height: Minimum height of 160 cm for female applicants and 170 cm for male applicants.
- Weight: Must be proportionate to height and age.
- Appearance: Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while in uniform.
- Fitness: Medically and physically fit to perform all cabin crew duties.
- Swimming: Capable of swimming with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages)
- Education: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required. A Diploma in Travel or Tourism is highly advantageous.
- Certifications: While not mandatory, training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is considered a significant asset.
- Health: Must possess a valid "Fit to Fly" medical certificate, demonstrating excellent general health free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Language: Exceptional fluency in both written and spoken English is essential.
Work Experience
- Entry Level: Fresh graduates are warmly encouraged to apply.
- Preferred Experience: Prior experience as cabin crew or in a customer service capacity within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is a distinct advantage.
- Licensing: Possession of an active cabin crew license is beneficial.
- Work Ethic: Demonstrated ability to work flexible shift patterns and extended hours.
- Adaptability: High degree of flexibility and adaptability to frequent operational changes and demanding schedules.
