Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew Member serves as a vital ambassador for the airline, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and upholding a positive corporate image. This is achieved by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers throughout the entire flight journey. The role requires the ability to operate effectively and efficiently, adhering strictly to established company policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct: Ensures timely attendance, maintains impeccable grooming standards, and verifies personal fitness and compliance for all assigned flights. Participates actively in pre-flight briefings to confirm flight details, role assignments, performance targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Safety Measures: Prioritizes passenger safety by providing clear instructions on safety procedures. Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Provides necessary first aid assistance to passengers. Promptly reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain as appropriate.
- Customer Service: Extends a warm welcome to passengers and assists with boarding formalities. Consistently delivers excellent customer service, attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Identifies and supports passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following established policies and procedures. Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and charity programs by effectively promoting products and services, and strives to meet individual and team sales targets. Ensures the accurate and secure handling of cash and credit card payments from sales and donations.
- Operational Duties & Reporting: Conducts thorough pre-flight checks of supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other specified items, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain. Assists in ensuring the cabin is properly cleaned and re-stocked at transit stations. Manages orderly handovers and takeovers of the cabin with cleaning and maintenance staff. Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports, including evaluating the Cabin Supervisor and documenting flight discrepancies. Reports passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor and assumes Cabin Supervisor duties when designated by the Captain. Maintains professional competence and safety knowledge through recurrent training, emergency procedure exercises, and holding a current license. Contributes to overall team success by achieving personal sales targets and supporting collective objectives.
Important Requirements
The ideal candidate will meet the following physical requirements:
- Age: Between 20 and 33 years.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
- Skin: Clear, without visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Health: Medically and physically fit to perform all cabin crew duties.
- Swimming: Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)
Essential qualifications include:
- Education: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required. A diploma in Travel/Tourism is advantageous.
- Training: Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is considered a valuable asset.
- Health: Must be fit to fly with good general health, free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary.
- Language: Must be fluent in both written and spoken English.
Work Experience
Desired work experience and attributes:
- Experience: Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airline, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is a distinct advantage.
- Licensing: Possession of an active cabin crew license is beneficial.
- Flexibility: Capability to work variable shift patterns and extended hours is essential.
- Adaptability: Must demonstrate high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and demanding schedules.
- Performance: Proven ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
