Job Purpose
The primary purpose of this role is to serve as a dedicated ambassador for Air Arabia, fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image. The Cabin Crew member achieves this by consistently enhancing the overall customer experience. The role involves providing excellent customer service to all passengers, ensuring their safety and comfort are maintained throughout the entire flight cycle. The incumbent is expected to remain physically and mentally fit for duty, ensuring operational readiness and adhering strictly to established productivity measures, company policies, and procedures.
Key Result Responsibilities
Conduct:
- Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legality for assigned flights.
- Attends flight briefings to acknowledge details, roles, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
Safety Measures:
- Instructs passengers on essential safety procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Identifies and addresses potential safety and security risks in collaboration with the Cabin Supervisor, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provides necessary first aid to passengers as required.
- Promptly reports any irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain.
Customer Service:
- Welcomes passengers and facilitates boarding procedures, accurately entering necessary data into the aircraft log book in accordance with Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures.
- Delivers consistent excellent customer service by addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs.
- Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to established policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and support the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets.
- Handles cash and credit card payments securely and accurately for sales and donations.
Crosschecking and Reports:
- Conducts pre-flight checks to verify adequate supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other specified equipment before departure, reporting any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor or Captain.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that sufficient re-catering and duty-free products are stocked before subsequent flights.
- Ensures an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff.
- Performs post-flight briefings and assessment reports according to adopted policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting flight problems or discrepancies, and ensuring duty-free containers are closed and sealed.
- Reports passenger conduct to the Cabin Supervisor; undertakes Cabin Supervisor duties when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent training, emergency procedures training, workshops, and ensuring license currency.
- Contributes to team goals by achieving allocated sales targets and objectives and completing related responsibilities.
Important Requirements
- Age: Between 20 and 33 years.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
- Weight: Proportionate to Age and Height.
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically and Physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications (Academic, training, languages)
- Academic Qualifications: Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate required; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is advantageous.
- Training: Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is considered an added value.
- Health: Must be fit to fly, possess good general health, with no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Language: Fluent in both written and spoken English.
Work Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is considered an added value.
- Possession of an active cabin crew license is advantageous.
- Capability to work flexible shift patterns and potentially extended working hours is essential.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent operational changes and busy schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute effectively and achieve results against established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
