Job Purpose:
The Cabin Crew member serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image by enhancing the overall passenger experience. They provide exceptional customer service, ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The Cabin Crew member maintains readiness and fitness for duty, adhering to company policies and procedures to ensure productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct: Maintains timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legal compliance for all assigned flights. Attends briefings to acknowledge flight details, role assignments, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Safety Measures: Instructs passengers on safety protocols to ensure their safety and comfort at all times. Identifies safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor for remedial action according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Administers first aid to passengers when necessary. Promptly informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain of any irregularities or malfunctions.
- Customer Service: Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities, entering necessary data into the aircraft logbook as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures. Provides exceptional customer service, addressing individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering to policies and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual and relevant instructions. Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by promoting meals, products, and charity services, achieving individual and team targets. Ensures the secure handling of cash and credit card payments for sales and donations.
- Crosschecking and Reports: Conducts pre-flight checks to confirm sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other specified items, reporting deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain. Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided. Ensures the orderly handover and takeover of the cabin with catering, cleaning, and maintenance staff. Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any problems, discrepancies, or duty-free container issues. Provides feedback to the Cabin Supervisor on passenger conduct. The Cabin Crew member may act as ‘Cabin Supervisor’ when designated by the Captain. Maintains professional and safety knowledge through recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, educational workshops, and by ensuring a current license. Contributes to team success by achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: 20 to 33 years old.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male).
- Weight: Proportionate to age and height.
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform cabin crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is a plus.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Fit to fly, demonstrating good general health and no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous cabin crew or customer service experience in Airlines/Aviation/Hospitality is an added value.
- Active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capability to work in shift patterns and for extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Demonstrates the ability to contribute to and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
