Job Purpose:
The Cabin Crew member serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to fostering customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image by consistently enhancing the overall customer experience. He/She provides exceptional customer service to all passengers, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The Cabin Crew member maintains readiness and fitness to operate, ensuring productivity aligns with established metrics and the company's adopted policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct: Ensures timely attendance, proper grooming, fitness, and legal compliance for assigned flights. Attends briefings to acknowledge flight details, role distribution, targets, security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Safety Measures: Instructs passengers on safety procedures, prioritizing their safety and comfort at all times. Identifies and reports safety and security risks to the Cabin Supervisor, taking remedial action in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Administers first aid to passengers when necessary. Informs the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain promptly of any irregularities or malfunctions.
- Customer Service: Welcomes passengers and assists with boarding formalities. Enters necessary data into the aircraft log book according to Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures. Provides consistently excellent customer service by attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and needs. Identifies and assists passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions. Contributes to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and charity services, achieving individual and team targets. Ensures the proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received for individual sales and donations.
- Crosschecking and Reports: Conducts pre-flight checks to ensure sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering equipment, and other specified equipment are available prior to take-off. Reports any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate. Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before flying. Ensures an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff. Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports as per adopted policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor and reporting any problems or discrepancies on the flight, as well as confirming closing and sealing of duty-free containers. Provides feedback to the Cabin Supervisor regarding passenger conduct; performs the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains current professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedures trainings, and educational workshops, and ensuring license validity. Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: Between 20 to 33 years
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 170 cm (Male)
- Weight: Proportionate to Age and Height
- Clear skin, free of visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform
- Medically and physically fit to perform Cabin Crew duties
- Ability to swim with the aid of a flotation device
Qualifications:
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is a plus.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an advantage.
- Fit to fly with good general health and no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in customer service within the Airlines/Aviation/Hospitality industries is an advantage.
- An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Capable of working in shifts and for extended hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Demonstrates the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
