Role Summary
The Cabin Crew member serves as a key ambassador for the airline, dedicated to enhancing the overall customer experience and promoting a positive corporate image. This critical role ensures passenger safety, comfort, and security throughout the entire flight cycle, while upholding the highest standards of customer service and operational efficiency. The Cabin Crew member is expected to be prepared and physically fit for duty, ensuring productivity aligns with established metrics and company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures timely attendance, impeccable grooming, physical fitness, and readiness for all assigned flights.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to understand flight details, roles, security checks, and boarding procedures.
- Provides clear and concise safety instructions to passengers, ensuring their safety and comfort are paramount throughout the flight.
- Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor on appropriate remedial actions in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administers necessary first aid to passengers during flight where required.
- Promptly reports any irregularities, malfunctions, or incidents to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, or Captain.
- Extends a warm welcome to passengers and assists with boarding formalities.
- Maintains accurate aircraft log book entries as per airline and regulatory procedures (e.g., GCAA/CAA).
- Delivers consistent and excellent customer service, attending to individual passenger needs and pre-bookings.
- Identifies and provides support to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following established procedures detailed in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Actively contributes to maximizing on-board revenue through efficient promotion and sales of meals, products, and participation in charitable programs, meeting individual and team targets.
- Ensures secure and accurate handling of cash and credit card payments received from sales and donations.
- Conducts thorough pre-flight checks of supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other specified items prior to departure, reporting any deficiencies.
- Assists in verifying the cleanliness of the aircraft cabin during transit stops and confirms adequate re-catering and duty-free provisions before subsequent flights.
- Ensures professional and orderly handover/takeover procedures with ground staff (catering, cleaning, maintenance).
- Completes post-flight briefings and assessment reports according to established policies and procedures, providing objective feedback and securing duty-free items.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for the conduct of passengers and may be designated by the Captain to perform the duties of Cabin Supervisor when required.
- Maintains professional competency and safety knowledge through mandatory recurrent training, emergency procedures training, educational workshops, and ensuring current license validity.
- Contributes effectively to the team effort by accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Requirements
- Age: Between 20 to 26 years for candidates without previous experience as Cabin Crew; Up to 33 years for experienced Cabin Crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male).
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
- Skin: Clear skin with no marks or tattoos that would be visible whilst wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Fitness: Medically and physically fit to perform all duties associated with the Cabin Crew role.
- Swimming: Capable of swimming with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications
- Academic: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered an advantage.
- Training: Training or certification in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is beneficial.
- Health: Must be fit to fly, possess good general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Technical: Proficiency in Microsoft Office is expected.
- Languages: Fluent written and spoken English is essential. Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
Experience
- Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries is highly valued.
- Possession of an active cabin crew license is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in a shift pattern, including potential for extended working hours.
- Demonstrated high level of flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and demanding schedules.
- Proven capability to contribute positively to team goals and successfully meet established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
