Cabin Crew - Aviation Professional
Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew member serves as a vital ambassador for the airline, dedicated to cultivating customer loyalty and projecting a consistently positive corporate image. Through exceptional customer service and unwavering attention to passenger comfort and safety, the Cabin Crew member elevates the overall passenger experience throughout the entire flight journey. This role demands a commitment to being physically and mentally prepared for all operational duties, ensuring productivity aligns with established company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures punctual attendance, impeccable grooming, and fitness for duty, along with the legality of personal documentation for assigned flights.
- Actively participates in pre-flight briefings to stay informed on flight specifics, role assignments, targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
Safety Measures
- Instructs passengers effectively on necessary safety procedures, prioritizing their security and comfort throughout the flight.
- Proactively identifies potential safety and security risks and collaborates with the Cabin Supervisor to implement corrective measures in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provides necessary first aid assistance to passengers when required.
- Communicates any irregularities or malfunctions promptly to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain as appropriate.
Customer Service Excellence
- Warmly welcomes passengers and provides assistance during boarding formalities.
- Accurately enters required data into the aircraft log book, adhering to airline and regulatory authority procedures (GCAA/CAA).
- Delivers consistently excellent customer service, attending to passengers' pre-bookings, requests, and individual needs.
- Identifies and supports passengers who may be experiencing stress or difficulties, following established policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Contributes to maximizing onboard revenue through effective promotion of onboard meals, products, and the "Charity Cloud" program, striving to meet individual and team sales targets.
- Ensures the proper and secure handling of cash and credit card payments received for sales and donations.
Operational Checks and Reporting
- Conducts thorough pre-flight checks to confirm sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering provisions, and other specified equipment are available before departure.
- Reports any deficiencies identified during checks to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as necessary.
- Assists in ensuring the aircraft cabin is meticulously cleaned during transit stops and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are stocked before subsequent flights.
- Oversees the orderly and complete handover or takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance personnel.
- Completes post-flight briefing and assessment reports according to established policies and procedures, providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any flight issues or discrepancies, and managing the closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Accounts to the Cabin Supervisor for passenger conduct and is prepared to assume the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when designated by the Captain.
- Maintains professional competence and safety knowledge by attending recurrent training sessions, emergency procedure drills, and educational workshops, and by ensuring their license remains current.
- Actively contributes to overall team success by achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Essential Requirements
- Age: Between 20 and 26 years for candidates without prior Cabin Crew experience.
- Up to 33 years for candidates with previous Cabin Crew experience.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male).
- Weight must be proportionate to age and height.
- Clear skin is required, with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Must be medically and physically fit to perform all Cabin Crew duties.
- Ability to swim proficiently with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable. A Diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered advantageous.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is a valuable asset.
- Candidates must be fit to fly with good general health, free from serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English is mandatory.
- Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Previous experience as Cabin Crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or hospitality industries is considered an advantage.
- Possession of an active Cabin Crew license is beneficial.
- Must be capable of working effectively in a shift pattern and for extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability in handling frequent changes and demanding schedules.
- Proven ability to contribute to team goals and successfully meet established policies, procedures, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
