Job Purpose:
This individual serves as an ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to cultivating customer loyalty and promoting a positive corporate image. They will achieve this by consistently enhancing the overall customer experience. This role requires providing exceptional customer service while ensuring passenger safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The successful candidate must maintain readiness and fitness for duty, ensuring productivity aligns with company standards, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct: The individual must ensure timely attendance, proper grooming, and fitness for assigned flights. They will attend briefings to acknowledge flight details, role distribution, targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
- Safety Measures: This role involves instructing passengers on essential safety procedures to guarantee their safety and comfort. They will identify potential safety and security risks, collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to enact remedial actions per Standard Operating Procedures. Furthermore, they will administer first aid when necessary and promptly report irregularities or malfunctions to the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain as required.
- Customer Service: The candidate will warmly welcome passengers and assist with boarding formalities, accurately recording necessary data in the aircraft log book in accordance with Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA procedures. They will provide continuous, excellent customer service by addressing pre-bookings, requests, and needs. They will also identify and assist passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, following all relevant operational manuals. This individual will contribute to maximizing on-board revenue and the "Charity Cloud" program by effectively promoting on-board meals, products, and charitable services, striving to meet both individual and team sales targets. They must also ensure the proper and secure handling of cash and credit card transactions.
- Crosschecking and Reports: The individual will conduct pre-flight checks to confirm sufficient supplies, emergency equipment, catering supplies, and other necessary items, and report any deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain. They will assist in ensuring the aircraft cabin is thoroughly cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are onboard. They will ensure an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff. This role also includes conducting post-flight briefings and assessment reports as per established policies, including providing objective evaluations of the Cabin Supervisor and reporting flight discrepancies. They will be responsible for the security of duty free containers. The individual will account to the Cabin Supervisor regarding passenger conduct and, when designated by the Captain, will fulfill the duties of Cabin Supervisor. They are also expected to maintain professional and safety knowledge by attending recurrent trainings, emergency procedure drills, and educational workshops, ensuring their license remains current. This includes contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Important Requirements:
- Age: 20 to 26 years for candidates without prior cabin crew experience. Up to 33 years for experienced cabin crew.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm (Female), 168 cm (Male).
- Weight: Proportionate to Age and Height.
- Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos while wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medically and physically fit to perform cabin crew duties.
- Ability to swim with the assistance of a flotation device.
Qualifications (Academic, Training, Languages):
- A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is required; a diploma in Travel/Tourism is advantageous.
- Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added benefit.
- Must be fit to fly with good general health and no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
Work Experience:
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines/Aviation/Hospitality industries is considered an advantage.
- An active cabin crew license is advantageous.
- Must be capable of working in shift patterns and for extended working hours.
- Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Must demonstrate the ability to contribute and successfully deliver against policies, procedures, and set KPIs.
