Job Purpose
The Cabin Crew Member serves as a primary ambassador for Air Arabia, dedicated to cultivating customer loyalty and consistently projecting a positive corporate image. This is achieved by significantly elevating the overall passenger experience. The role demands the delivery of excellent customer service to all passengers while meticulously ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the entire flight cycle. The incumbent is expected to maintain peak fitness and readiness to operate, ensuring productivity aligns seamlessly with company standards, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
The Cabin Crew Member's duties are comprehensive and multifaceted, encompassing the following:
Operational Conduct and Readiness
- Ensuring timely attendance, impeccable grooming, optimal physical fitness, and legal compliance for all assigned flights.
- Actively participating in pre-flight briefings to confirm a thorough understanding of flight details, role assignments, sales targets, security protocols, and boarding procedures.
Safety and Emergency Management
- Providing clear and effective instructions to passengers on safety procedures, consistently prioritizing their security and comfort.
- Proactively identifying areas of safety and security risks and collaborating with the Cabin Supervisor to implement immediate remedial actions in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Administering essential first aid to passengers when necessary.
- Promptly informing the Cabin Supervisor, Flight Crew, and Captain, as appropriate, of any irregularities or malfunctions observed.
Excellence in Customer Service
- Extending a warm welcome to passengers and assisting them efficiently with boarding formalities; accurately entering necessary data into the aircraft log book as per Air Arabia and GCAA/CAA adopted procedures.
- Delivering consistently excellent customer service by attending to individual pre-bookings, requests, and diverse passenger needs with professionalism.
- Identifying and providing sensitive assistance to passengers experiencing stress or difficulties, adhering strictly to corresponding policies and procedures detailed in the Operations Manual and other relevant instructions.
- Actively contributing to maximizing on-board revenue and supporting the "Charity Cloud" program through efficient promotion of on-board meals, products, and charity services, thereby achieving individual and team sales targets.
- Ensuring the proper and secure handling of all cash and credit card payments received against individual sales and donations.
Pre-Flight Checks, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement
- Conducting thorough pre-flight checks to verify the sufficiency of supplies, emergency equipment, catering, and other specified equipment prior to takeoff.
- Providing detailed reports for any identified deficiencies to the Cabin Supervisor and/or Captain as appropriate.
- Assisting in ensuring the aircraft cabin is meticulously cleaned at transit stations and that adequate re-catering and duty-free products are provided before subsequent flights.
- Ensuring an orderly and complete handover/takeover of the cabin to/from catering, cleaning, and/or maintenance staff.
- Carrying out post-flight briefings and assessment reports as per adopted policies and procedures, including objective evaluation of the Cabin Supervisor, reporting any problems or discrepancies on flight, and ensuring the proper closing and sealing of duty-free containers.
- Providing the Cabin Supervisor with an account of passenger conduct.
- Performing the duties of 'Cabin Supervisor' when officially designated as such by the Captain.
- Maintaining necessary professional and safety knowledge and competitiveness through continuous engagement in recurrent training, emergency procedures training, and educational workshops, and by ensuring current license validity.
- Contributing actively to team efforts by successfully accomplishing related results and achieving allocated sales targets and objectives.
Essential Requirements
- Age: Candidates must be between 20 and 33 years of age.
- Minimum Height: 160 cm for female candidates, 170 cm for male candidates.
- Weight: Must be in proportion to age and height.
- Physical Appearance: Clear skin with no visible marks or tattoos when wearing the cabin crew uniform.
- Medical Fitness: Medically and physically fit to perform all cabin crew duties.
- Swimming Ability: Capable of swimming with the aid of a flotation device.
Qualifications and Experience
- Academic Qualification: A Diploma or Higher Secondary Certificate is acceptable for this role; a Diploma in Travel/Tourism is considered an advantage.
- Certifications (Advantageous): Training in First Aid, Safety, and Emergency Procedures is an added value.
- Health: Must be fit to fly, possess good general health, and have no serious medical conditions or chronic diseases.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Language Proficiency: Must be fluent in both written and spoken English.
- Experience: Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply for this role. Previous experience as cabin crew or in a customer service role within the Airlines, Aviation, or Hospitality industries will be treated as a significant advantage.
- License: An active cabin crew license is an advantage.
- Work Ethic: Capable of working in shift patterns and for extended working hours. Demonstrates high flexibility and adaptability to frequent changes and busy schedules.
- Performance: Proven ability to contribute effectively and successfully deliver against established policies, procedures, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
