Vision Jet Pilot in Command (PIC)

Position Summary
The Vision Jet Pilot in Command (PIC) is responsible for executing charter and specialized medical missions with the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and operational excellence. This role demands strong technical proficiency, exceptional crew resource management, and the ability to collaborate effectively with medical teams, clients, and internal flight department personnel.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct charter and special mission medical flights in accordance with company procedures and objectives.

Review upcoming missions to ensure safety, efficiency, and proper mission planning.

Operate in full compliance with the General Operations Manual (GOM) and FAA Part 135 regulations.

Participate in monthly and quarterly safety and training events with hospital partners.

Attend monthly staff meetings with the Flight Department and Maintenance Manager.

Prepare the aircraft for daily operations, ensuring cleanliness, readiness, and availability of mission-critical supplies.

Monitor weather forecasts and changing conditions throughout all phases of flight.

Complete pre-flight requirements, including weather briefings, weight and balance, performance calculations, and all applicable Part 135 procedures.

Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate exemplary behavior at all times.

Interact professionally with clients, medical personnel, patients, vendors, and fellow team members.

Demonstrate leadership and teamwork in dynamic operational environments.

Comprehend, follow, and execute complex operational procedures.

Maintain relevant certifications and training, with a focus on medical transport operations.

Collaborate with the Program Manager and client director on new initiatives and relationship-building with medical teams.
Requirements

ATP certificate with ASEL endorsement (Vision Jet type rating preferred).

Bachelor’s degree in Aviation or Management preferred.

Solid understanding of 14 CFR Part 135 regulations.

Active participation in a DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Program.

Ability to pass a criminal background check; no FAA violations or accidents.

Valid driver’s license and current U.S. passport.

First-Class Medical Certificate.

Minimum 1,500 hours total time (fixed-wing).

Minimum 200 hours in single-engine complex aircraft.

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Must reside or be willing to relocate within one hour of KBKL Airport.
Preferred Skills & Competencies

Experience in turbojet or two-pilot crew environments.

FAA Part 135 or flight instructor experience.

Strong cockpit resource management and decision-making abilities.

Ability to work independently and resolve operational or technical issues.

Thorough knowledge of aircraft systems and limitations.

Proven ability to work within a team-oriented environment.

Availability to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
