Caravan First Officer / Second in Command (SIC) - Miami, FL
Job Summary
The Second in Command (SIC) reports administratively to the Chief Pilot and to the Pilot-in-Command (PIC) during flight. The SIC assists the PIC in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures. This is a Part-Time position.
Essential Functions
- Perform safe and efficient flight operations for all trip assignments while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Adhere to the duties and responsibilities stated in all company procedures manuals.
- Maintain a current first-class medical certificate and notify the company if a medical condition may impair the ability to perform flight duties.
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism and the ability to coordinate and lead the crew.
- Greet passengers, assist with seating, and manage luggage storage.
- Conduct passenger briefings and respond to passenger requests and needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment
Exposure to loud noises including airplane machinery and jet engines. Typical outdoor and industrial/hangar environments. Potential exposure to extreme temperatures due to travel requirements. Typical business aircraft interior may involve tight or cramped spaces.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Authorization to work lawfully in the United States.

- Computer skills for word processing, email, and web/mobile applications.

- FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- Commercial Single Engine Land (SEL) and Single Engine Sea (SES) with Instrument Rating.
- IFR Proficiency and Currency.
- 250 total flight hours, including:
- 100 hours cross-country
- 25 hours night
- High knowledge of General Operations Manual, FAA Regulations, Operations Specifications, Flight Manuals, Standard Operating Procedures, Policies and Procedures, and other pertinent information.
- Ability to complete training and demonstrate proficiency.
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check.
- This position is classified as Safety-Sensitive and is subject to drug and alcohol testing.
Compensation and Professional Development
Compensation is $150 per scheduled workday and $75 per training day. This position includes participation in an FAA-approved Second-in-Command (SIC) Professional Development Program, allowing pilots to log SIC flight time per OpSpec A062.
