Pilot in Command – Pilatus PC-12
Full-Time – Omaha, NE
Jet Linx is seeking highly qualified Pilot in Command candidates to operate its Pilatus PC-12 aircraft for Part 91 and 135 flight operations. The ideal candidate is expected to reside, or be willing to relocate, within a 2-hour call out time of the Omaha home base to ensure operational readiness.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot, the Pilot in Command (PIC) is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft. This role involves meticulous preparation and execution of flights in strict accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and company procedures, ensuring the highest standards of safety and service.
Essential Functions
The Pilot in Command performs critical functions including:
- Managing duty, flight, and rest times in compliance with both company policy and CFRs.
- Maintaining consistent communication with the company for standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports.
- Maintaining and managing electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and applications to ensure reliability and currency.
- Ensuring all navigation charts, publications, and company manuals are current and readily accessible.
- Maintaining a current FAA 1st Class medical certificate.
- Demonstrating strong, proactive decision-making skills in all operational scenarios.
- Embodying Jet Linx’s core values in all professional interactions.
Minimum Requirements
Qualified candidates must meet the following flight experience criteria:
- Total Time: 3500 hours
- Total PIC Time: 2000 hours
- Total Time in Type (Pilatus PC-12): 250 hours
- Total PIC Time in Type (Pilatus PC-12): 250 hours
- Total Multi-Engine Time: 1500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine PIC Time: 500 hours
- Total Turbine Time: 500 hours
- Total Instrument Time: 300 hours
Other Requirements
In addition to flight time requirements, candidates should possess or be able to obtain:
- Initial or Recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months is preferred.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the US.
- A current passport.
- An Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate or the ability to obtain one.
- A current 1st Class Medical certificate.
- An FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug/alcohol testing as required.
- Unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Ability to release and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by operational schedules.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- The majority of work is completed in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
- Ability to move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Compensation
Jet Linx offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. The starting base annual salary for the Pilot in Command position ranges from $140,000 to $182,500. The actual base salary is dependent upon factors such as geographic location, aircraft size, and the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience.
