Pilot in Command – Pilatus PC-12
Full-Time – Omaha, NE
Jet Linx is actively seeking qualified candidates for the position of Pilot in Command for its light jet aircraft fleet, supporting both Part 91 and Part 135 flight operations. Ideal candidates are expected to reside, or be willing to relocate, within a two-hour call-out radius of their assigned home base in Omaha, NE.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot, the Pilot in Command holds the responsibility for preparing and executing the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft. This role requires strict adherence to all Federal Aviation Regulations and established company procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates for this role must meet the following minimum flight hour requirements:
- Total Time: 3500 hours
- Total Pilot in Command (PIC): 2000 hours
- Total Time in Type: 250 hours
- Total PIC Time in Type: 250 hours
- Total Multi-Engine: 1500 hours
- Total Multi-Engine PIC: 500 hours
- Total Turbine: 500 hours
- Total Instrument: 300 hours
Essential Functions
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Pilot in Command include:
- Managing duty, flight, and rest times in compliance with both company policies and CFRs.
- Maintaining consistent communication with the company regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and the submission of pre- and post-flight reports.
- Maintaining and managing Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) hardware and applications.
- Ensuring the currency of navigation charts, publications, and company manuals.
- Maintaining a current First Class medical certificate.
- Consistently demonstrating strong, proactive decision-making skills.
- Upholding Jet Linx’s core values in all professional interactions.
Other Requirements
Additional requirements for this position include:
- Initial or Recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months is preferred.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Possession of a current passport.
- Possession of an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate or the ability to obtain one.
- Possession of a First Class Medical Certificate.
- Possession of an FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug and alcohol testing as required.
- Unrestricted ability to travel to Canada and Caribbean countries.
- Ability to release and pass a FAA Pilot Record Database review conducted by a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- The majority of work is completed in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
- Ability to move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Compensation
Jet Linx provides a competitive compensation and benefits package to its team members. The starting base annual salary for the Pilot in Command position ranges from $140,000 to $182,500. The actual base salary offered is determined by factors including geographic location, aircraft size/crew position, and the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience. The comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a 6% company match, paid time off, and company-paid life and short-term disability coverage.
