Second in Command – Falcon 900EZ (Full-Time) - Minneapolis, MN
Jet Linx seeks highly qualified candidates for a Second in Command (SIC) position operating a Heavy jet aircraft, specifically the Falcon 900EZ, for Part 91 and 135 flight operations. This full-time position is based in Minneapolis, MN. The successful candidate must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the base area, maintaining the ability to respond to a call out within two hours of their home base.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Base Chief Pilot, the Second in Command assists in preparing for and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft. This is performed in strict accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and company procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- Total Flight Time: 2500 hours
- Pilot in Command (PIC) Time: 500 hours
- Multi-Engine Time: 500 hours
- Turbine Time: 100 hours
- Instrument Time: 150 hours
Essential Functions
The SIC is responsible for:
- Managing duty, flight, and rest times in compliance with company and CFR requirements.
- Maintaining consistent communication with the company regarding standby duty assignments, trip notifications, position calls, and pre- and post-flight reports.
- Managing electronic flight bag (EFB) hardware and applications.
- Ensuring the currency of navigation charts, publications, and company manuals.
- Holding and maintaining a current First Class medical certificate.
- Demonstrating strong, proactive decision-making skills.
- Embodying Jet Linx's core values in all interactions.
Other Requirements
Preferred qualifications include Initial or Recurrent 142 training in type within the last 24 months.
Candidates must also meet the following:
- Ability to obtain a U.S. driver's license.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Possession of a current passport.
- Hold an Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate.
- Hold a First Class Medical certificate.
- Possess an FCC Restricted Radio License.
- Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and submit to random drug/alcohol testing as required.
- Possess unrestricted ability to travel to all EU, Canada, and Caribbean countries.
- Ability to release and pass an FAA Pilot Record Database review with a System Chief Pilot.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
- Work is primarily conducted in and around aircraft and aircraft terminals.
- Ability to move up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Compensation
Jet Linx provides a competitive compensation and benefits package. The starting base annual salary for this position ranges from $135,000 to $170,000. The actual base salary offered is determined by factors including geographic location, aircraft size/crew position, and the candidate's relevant education, training, and experience. The comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with a 6% company match, paid time off, and company-paid life and short-term disability coverage.
