The ideal candidate demonstrates high standards, effectively manages diverse situations while collaborating with team members and customers, and works independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision. The pilot is responsible for the safe, on-time, and efficient operation of company aircraft and provides leadership in emergency and non-emergency situations. The position requires flexibility in working various shifts, climates, and locations across the globe.

Basic Student Pilot Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Private Pilot Certificate with an Instrument rating.
  • Submission of a completed application.
  • Submission of two character references.

Selected students will be entered into the program and will remain in it provided they successfully complete the appropriate requirements, including:

  • Obtaining a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine rating
  • Obtaining a Certified Flight Instructor certificate as required for employment at IAA

Additional Basic Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills and quick, accurate decision-making abilities.
  • Compliance with FAA FAR Part 121 age limits.
  • Close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • A current, unrestricted ATP certificate with an airplane category multi-engine class rating and English proficiency endorsement.
  • A valid First Class Medical Certificate.
  • Distance vision corrected to 20/20 and near vision corrected to 20/40 or better in each eye.
  • An FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit.
  • The ability to learn and work with Electronic Flight Bags (EFBs).
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • A valid, unrestricted passport.
  • A minimum of 1500 hours of total fixed-wing pilot time.
