Job Summary

Eastern Airlines seeks a highly motivated First Officer to join its esteemed flight crew. This role is integral to ensuring the safety and efficiency of all flight operations, reporting directly to the Chief Pilot. The First Officer will share responsibility with the Captain for the safety of passengers and cargo, and will provide guidance and coordination for all personnel involved in aircraft operations. This position offers a minimum guarantee of 72 flight hours per month.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key member of the flight crew, sharing responsibility with the Captain for flight safety.
  • Provide guidance and coordinate the activities of all personnel involved in aircraft operations.
  • Maintain operational responsibility to the Captain on all flights.
  • Maintain a current first-class medical certificate and report any medical conditions that may impair flight duties.
  • Perform all flight duties as assigned by the Captain.
  • Assume authority to act on behalf of the Captain in the event of incapacitation.
  • Possess knowledge of the Captain’s duties and responsibilities and accept delegation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • ATP License
  • FAA first-class medical certificate (or ability to obtain one before training)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Impeccable safety and training record
  • Comprehensive understanding of all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a dynamic environment
  • Willingness to bid work schedule by seniority (days, swings, or midnight shifts, holidays)
  • Travel will be required
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol background checks, pre-employment DOT drug test, and criminal history records check (CHRC)
  • Valid passport
  • English proficiency consistent with at least ICAO Level 4 endorsement
  • Eligible to work in the United States (US Passport holder or Green Card holder)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Type-rated on multi-engine aircraft
  • Preference for B-767/757 or B-777 ratings
  • Previous B-767 FAR 121 experience
  • CRM experience
