About the Role: Flight Crew Planner
The Flight Crew Planner is entrusted with the critical responsibility of planning and managing crew rosters to ensure the efficient, safe, and regulatory-compliant operation of Wizz Air Malta's commercial flight program. This pivotal role also involves actively driving system and process enhancements while meticulously safeguarding the well-being of all crew members.
Key Responsibilities
The Flight Crew Planner will undertake a variety of critical tasks, including:
- Constructing crew schedules meticulously aligned with the commercial flight program and stringent duty time limitations.
- Optimizing crew rosters to achieve peak crew productivity while rigorously adhering to all safety and compliance mandates.
- Providing comprehensive oversight of available crew resources to guarantee robust program coverage, enhance operational resilience, and meet targeted crew utilization levels.
- Engaging in seamless cross-functional cooperation with diverse internal stakeholders, including Cabin and Flight Operations, the Training Department, Human Resources, and Recruitment teams.
- Assuming direct responsibility for monitoring and mitigating roster fatigue and ensuring the overall well-being of over 900 dedicated crew members.
- Proactively tracking, monitoring, and modifying cockpit and cabin crew rosters to adapt to dynamic operational requirements.
- Spearheading process and system improvements, including dedicated oversight of the HP bidding and Roster Preferences modules to enhance efficiency.
- Maintaining continuous collaboration with the Training Department and Crew Training Planning to ensure precise alignment of rostering principles with evolving training requirements.
- Ensuring steadfast compliance with all pertinent industry regulations, including duty and flight time limitations and comprehensive Fatigue Risk Management protocols.
